Chapter 5 - VICTORY WITHOUT CASUALTY

CHAPTER FIVE:

VICTORY WITHOUT CASUALTY

The sun had barely risen over the horizon when the Makoto village council convened to discuss the war letter they had received from the Bakoto village. The atmosphere was tense, with a mix of anger and amusement.

"This is an insult to our village," one of the Makoto soldiers spat, his voice dripping with disdain. "They think they can threaten us with their feeble army?"

Another soldier snickered. "They've already dug their own grave. Their crooked soldiers are no match for us."

The king of Makoto, seated majestically on his throne, let out a hearty laugh. He surveyed the council of chiefs sitting around him, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

"My chiefs, I don't like to bully those weaker than us, but the Bakoto village is daring to challenge me with their pathetic resources. Don't they know that Sakoto village is watching? We'll show them our strength, and they'll learn to fear us."

One of the chiefs, a grizzled old warrior, spoke up. "My lord, I've been laughing since yesterday when I received the news. The Bakoto village thinks they can take on the mighty Makoto? They're just a bunch of small fries, and even without Sakoto's help, we can crush them with ease."

The king nodded, a cruel smile spreading across his face. "Prepare our troops to destroy them once and for all. We'll humble them and show Sakoto village that we're capable of making our own decisions. Let's destroy their village and eradicate any future troubles they might cause."

The army chief nodded in agreement. "I'll make sure our soldiers are ready for battle. We'll show no mercy to the Bakoto village."

Meanwhile, the Bakoto soldiers were closing in on the Makoto territory, their spirits high and their determination unwavering. Fifty meters from the village, the Makoto villagers sneered and laughed at the small army approaching them.

But the Bakoto soldiers were not intimidated. Manke, one of the soldiers, rallied his comrades. "Don't be afraid! We're here to take back our strength and hone our skills. We have two purposes: to seek justice for past wrongs and to send a message to other villages that we will no longer be underestimated."

Banke, another soldier, added, "If we accomplish this mission, we'll earn respect from the other villages and send a warning to those who dare to cross us."

The Makoto village, confident in their own strength, had left their gates open, and the Bakoto soldiers poured in effortlessly. The battle began, with both sides fighting fiercely. But the Makoto soldiers were no match for the Bakoto army, and the first wave of attackers was destroyed within five minutes.

The chief of the Makoto army was taken aback by the sudden turn of events. He deployed his elite fighters, but they too were defeated. Thirty minutes passed, and still, there was no response from his soldiers. The chief's eyes turned pale as he summoned more troops, but they were met with a horrific sight: the bodies of their comrades piled up like a mountain.

Before they could recover from the shock, the Bakoto soldiers ambushed them, killing them all, including the chief of the Makoto army. The Bakoto soldiers then entered the village, killing everyone in sight, including the king. They took the innocent villagers back to their own village as slaves.

The Makoto village was no more, destroyed by the very people they had underestimated. The Bakoto village had emerged victorious, their strength and determination proving too much for their enemies.
