Kimi had no understanding of what Alpha Kirk meant by his cryptic words. She watched as the other pack members began retreating from the room in hushed groups. Their eyes lingered on her as they whispered among themselves, voices carrying fragments she could catch.
"Important to the pack? Strange, I have never witnessed her in the Alpha's presence before."
The room emptied until only Kimi remained with three men surrounding her.
Her gaze locked onto the Alpha's piercing stare as she demanded answers.

Dynasty's fingers released their hold on her hand abruptly. He lunged toward the beta, who had just risen to his feet while snatching the weapon from his Alpha's possession.
