Adalind's gaze pierced through Kirk with unmistakable contempt. The air around her seemed to crackle with barely contained fury.
Kolton shifted closer, his eyes gleaming with predatory interest. A wicked smile played across his lips as he studied Kimi before turning his attention to the woman beside her.
"I'm curious too. Why choose me over your former lover?" His voice dropped to a dangerous whisper. "What made you abandon him for me, Adalind?"
