"Thank you for saving my life today, Kimi. Your boyfriend would have murdered me otherwise."
Kimi laughed softly at Logan's dramatic words.
"I thought you had more backbone than this, Logan. That's what drew me to your friendship in the first place."
He pressed his palm against his forehead and groaned.
"Sure, but I heard he destroyed Bennett last time, and that whole mess started because of you."
Kimi knew he was referring to the brutal fight between Bennett and Kolton after Kolton had rejected her as his mate in front of everyone.
"My boyfriend isn't some monster. He wouldn't hurt you without good reason. You're all ruining his reputation," she said, shaking her head with a smile.
She thought about how gentle Kolton could be when they were alone together. If everyone could see that side of him, they would never call him dangerous.
After chatting with Logan for several more minutes, Kimi decided to take a taxi home rather than calling her usual driver.
