Alpha Sean examined his hand where Kolton had just knocked away his grip from his collar.
"Kolton, what has gotten into you? Is this any way to speak to your father?" Valencia snapped, her voice sharp with disapproval.
"If he doesn't know how to act like a father, then don't expect me to play the obedient son. I'm nobody's property."
With those words hanging in the air, Kolton pivoted toward the staircase and began climbing.
"You dare turn your back on me? This is what I get after everything I've given you?" Alpha Sean's voice thundered behind him, his eyes blazing crimson with fury.
Valencia reached for her husband's arm. "Sean, please."
Alpha Sean jerked away from his wife's touch and drove his foot into the coffee table beside the sofa, sending decorative items scattering.
