Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 Learning Basic Knowledge

As a member of the Adventurer's Guild, the management organization of the dungeon, Aegina, who has been a service window lady for a long time, has seen countless newcomers.

These newcomers are either careless, thinking how great they are, and asking for the most difficult tasks as soon as they open their mouths. Or they are timid and dare only hide behind their own gods and dare not look up.

Most of the former die quickly, while the latter are unlikely to achieve anything. They are the type who struggle in obscurity.

A person's character can determine a person's fate. At least in Aegina's opinion, Ye Yu is the kind of calm and steady man. Such a person can definitely guarantee his life in the dungeon.

Survival is the first prerequisite. As long as you can survive, no matter how weak the adventurer is, he will eventually become stronger.

As for the genius mentioned by Hestia, Aegina doesn't care much. She has seen many geniuses. Some rise, some disappear after showing a sharp edge, and some fall.

There are very few geniuses who can grow up smoothly.

"Come and register, just fill out a simple form."

Bringing Hestia and Ye Yu to her window, Aegina handed a series of information and documents to Ye Yu with ease.

"The guild can provide you with many conveniences as an adventurer, of course we will also charge a certain amount of compensation accordingly. As an adventurer, the crystals obtained by defeating monsters can be exchanged for gold coins in our guild, and the compensation is directly deducted from this exchange."

Ye Yu nodded and handed the signed contract back to Aegina, indicating that he understood her words.

"Well, it's good for you to know. Adventurers are relatively free to act, and there are no hard and fast rules. Just remember one thing, that is, adventurers must not take risks!"

  "Adventurers must not take risks?"

Ye Yu muttered this sentence with his head against his back. The seemingly contradictory words were full of deep meaning. The general meaning was that you must always be careful, be fully prepared, and always put safety first.

"Survival is always the first priority. It is not shameful to shout for help or run away when you encounter an enemy that you cannot defeat. Before fighting, analyze your confidence and think about your God."

"I will be your consultant during the period when you just start your adventure career. I will teach you a lot of basic knowledge about adventurers and dungeons. If you have any questions, just ask me."

Aegina said so, and Hestia patted Ye Yu on the shoulder.

"I'm going to work now, Ye Yu, you must study hard. And don't force yourself at the beginning. After all, if you take the mage route, it will be very hard in the early stage."

Hestia said so, waved her hand and left the Adventurer's Guild reluctantly, leaving only Ye Yu and Aegina.

"Just now your God said...you are taking the mage route?"

"Well...that should be right? It seems that my basic ability has a high magic attribute."

Ye Yu said so vaguely. Although he was not very clear about what was unusual about him, it was better not to talk about the question mark in the magic column.

"A wizard? A wizard is undoubtedly very powerful, but the path to becoming a wizard is extremely difficult, because we cannot provide you with very good magic equipment at the beginning. In fact, we only have the most common weapons here. You need to work hard on the magic wands, magic props and other things that are necessary for wizards. In the early stage, you can only rely on your own strength to swing weapons to defeat monsters."

Aegina said with some regret. The boy in front of her was indeed a very good newcomer, but unfortunately, his magic attribute was too high, so he needed to go the wizard route. Aegina has been able to meet the difficult journey of this boy in the future, and hopes that he can hold on.

Although it is a simple basic teaching, it was almost dusk when Aegina finished speaking. Looking at Ye Yu, who looked drowsy, Aegina shook her head with some displeasure.

"Those things are cumbersome, but every bit is very important. For you in the early stage, remembering them can greatly guarantee your safety in the dungeon."

"Don't worry, I remember them all."

Ye Yu nodded and said so, although Aina was a little skeptical about his statement.

Before leaving, Aina gave Ye Yu a small dagger and assigned him a task, which was to go to the first floor of the dungeon to kill the weakest goblin and bring back its crystal.

It was late today, and the dungeon at night was more dangerous than during the day, so Aina directly asked Ye Yu to start his adventure in the dungeon tomorrow.

"I always feel... there is a strange sense of déjà vu..."

Ye Yu muttered to himself as he walked back with a small dagger. Aina's task always reminded him of something strange, but if he thought about it carefully, he couldn't remember anything.

"Anyway... go to the first floor and kill a goblin, right?"

Aegina asked Ye Yu to be careful, and try not to go too deep even on the first floor. On the first floor, just kill a goblin and it will be fine.

There are many things to learn in combat and adventure, so there is no need to rush.

These are Aegina's original words. According to Aegina, it would be better for Ye Yu to stay on the first floor for a month or two before thinking about exploring the lower floors.

After all, a high magic attribute does not mean that one can comprehend magic. Some people, even if they have good magic attributes, still become warriors in the end because they cannot comprehend magic.

Of course, Aegina didn't know that Ye Yu had awakened his own magic when he signed the contract with Hestia, although Ye Yu himself had not figured out what this magic was.

Even though it was already dusk, the streets of this maze city were still crowded. Various races could be seen here. Ye Yu, who was a little uncomfortable with such a lively atmosphere, had difficulty moving through the crowd.

Ye Yu couldn't name most of the races. Among these people, there were some ordinary citizens, and some people wearing very gorgeous equipment. They looked like adventurers who had returned from exploring the dungeon today.

He crossed the busy streets, passed through a narrow path, and turned a few corners.

When the hustle and bustle completely disappeared behind him, Ye Yu also walked to the end of the road and came to the residence of him and Hestia.
