Chapter Nineteen: The Start of Battle
The whole crowd was in shock after seeing the new look of Maxim.
His once silver hair was now green, as if they were emeralds, and his once golden eyes had now turned blue—his face now as beautiful as nature.
His once stumbling and injured body was now perfectly fine, and his mana also felt much bigger than before.
But Lynix was not in shock, but rather satisfied. He looked at the glowing Maxim and spoke a few words with an arrogant tone.
"Ah! Finally something interesting. Now I can finally fight you without any restraints."
As he said those words, his body produced a darker crimson aura, and the air around him was filled with murderous intent.
Maxim looked at him as if a god was looking at a pitiful mortal.
Wasting no second, they both charged at each other with a dash reaching near the speed of light.
As they both clashed their swords, the arena around them shattered. The stands in which the other students were watching also began to crumble, but only some of them could withstand the pressure without using their mana.
They both knew it was due to the pressure created by their speeds.
Both of them retreated by jumping backward and infused mana into their bodies and swords so the pressure wouldn't destroy their surroundings.
They both once again charged forward, with their swords now aiming for each other's necks.
They then clashed swords once again, and after that, only the sound of clashing weapons could be heard throughout the arena.
They struck at each other one after another without any sign of kindness or mercy.
They were both giving each other a tough time.
Maxim blocked one of Lynix's sword attacks and summoned the shadow swords behind him.
Lynix countered by blocking the swords, making his mana take the shape of a shield.
