Chapter 43 - ONLY YOU (PART II)

---

Act 6 Scene 7 — Part 2 (ONLY YOU)

Sarah froze. Slowly, she turned to look at him.

"You didn't lock your room last night?"

Sarah (too quickly): "Uh… I forgot!"

Lie. She didn't forget. She'd left it unlocked on purpose. Just… in case.

"Hmm."

Andrew (after a pause):

Sarah (softly, unsure): "Why? Did something… happen?"

Andrew (quiet, unbendable): "It was unlocked."

"No… I just checked."

Sarah (softly): "Oh."

She glanced away again, heart pounding harder now.

"Why does it feel like he knows something I don't? Or… something I'm scared to admit I already know."

Continued…

In the black Maybach.

Andrew cleared his throat, blinking awkwardly, eyes still on the road.

"We're almost there."

Sarah looked up at him. "Ah," she gave a tiny smile.

That's when her gaze flickered to the crystal crescent moon hanging above the dashboard, right at the center of the mirror.

It gleamed like a diamond as the sun's rays hit it.

The crescent was tilted, slightly bent upwards.

Its base was matte black, shimmering faintly with tiny etched stars.

Sarah stared at it for a moment too long — something about it was so captivating she couldn't look away.

"Why didn't I notice it earlier?" she thought.

Of course, Andrew noticed her looking.

"It's beautiful," Sarah said.

Andrew glanced at her, one hand still gripping the steering wheel, but there was a softness in his eyes — and in his voice.

"You like it?"

Sarah smiled. "Yeah… I mean, it's beautiful. But in a way I can't explain. It feels like it brings peace and warmth to your soul… when you're tired or lost in the everyday hustle-bustle of life."

A pause, then she added softly: "It feels… like home."

She sighed.

Andrew's eyes stayed on the road, his voice low, tinged with something aching.

"My mom gifted me this… on my thirteenth birthday."

Sarah smiled. "Then it must be very special for you, right?"

"Hmm," he replied faintly.

The car slowed to a halt in front of a towering building — modern yet royal, glass windows glinting in the sunlight. Guards in full black stood at attention.

Andrew applied the brakes.

Sarah's eyes widened as she stared through the window.

"It's huge… what even is it? A museum?"

Andrew unbuckled his seatbelt.

"We've arrived."

He stepped out of the car. Sarah fumbled with her own seatbelt.

"Yeah!"

Click. Click. Nothing.

"Why isn't it unbuckling?!" Her hand clicked it again and again in rising panic —

Until the car door opened.

She gasped.

Andrew leaned in above her, his body bent into the car, hands reaching for the buckle.

She froze, pressing herself back into the seat.

His breath brushed her temple, his tie hung loosely over her lap.

Her heart pounded so loud she swore he could hear it.

She could smell his cologne — strong, addictive — feel the heat radiating from him.

His fingers moved with precision, swift and sure, as the seatbelt clicked free.

He straightened, smirking. "Done."

Sarah stepped out quickly, cheeks burning red.

Andrew shut the door, locking the car, and they walked toward the building.

The sign read: Aurum Heights.

She blinked. "It's… a mall?"

It looked more like a fairy-tale castle.

As they approached the entrance, a security guard stepped forward and bowed — but hesitated.

"Miss, we need to—"

Andrew's sharp glare froze him mid-sentence.

The guard swallowed hard. "I'm sorry, sir. I didn't know—"

Sarah blinked, confused, but followed Andrew as the manager rushed over, bowing deeply.

"Welcome, sir. My apologies for the inconvenience. He's new and didn't realize… We'll make sure it won't happen again."

Andrew gave a single nod and walked on, Sarah trailing behind, her eyes darting everywhere — marble floors gleaming like gold, chandeliers spilling light like waterfalls.

They entered the main hall where nearly forty staff members lined up in black, bowing in unison.

"Welcome, sir. Welcome, miss."

Sarah startled, managing only an awkward smile.

Then Sam appeared, strolling down the stairs, hands in his pockets, a wide grin on his face.

"Princess Sarah is finally here."

Andrew's eyes darkened, but he said nothing.

Sam smirked at him and muttered just loud enough for Andrew to hear: "Desperate, aren't you?"

Andrew's jaw clenched, ears turning red.

Sam turned to Sarah. She froze like a deer in headlights as he casually draped an arm over her shoulder.

Andrew's eye twitched. In two steps, he was there — his hand grabbing Sam's wrist, lifting it away.

"Don't touch what isn't yours."

Sam grinned wider. "Possessive much?"

Andrew stepped behind Sarah, his shadow spilling over her like a claim.
