Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Exchange of Power, Expansion of Potential

Kami's Lookout – Afternoon, Days After Piccolo and Tien Return

The wind was calm, but Krillin wasn't.

He stood beside Piccolo at the edge of the Lookout, both of them quietly observing Gohan from afar as he trained with Yamcha and Chiaotzu.

Krillin finally broke the silence.

"I need to learn the Clothes Beam and Special Beam Cannon."

Piccolo turned his head slowly, one eyebrow raised. "You want what?"

Krillin kept his voice calm. "I'm not trying to copy you. But I've realized I need more than raw strength or speed. Your techniques might be key someday."

Piccolo scoffed. "What, you think you can just learn the Special Beam Cannon in a weekend?"

Krillin smiled faintly. "I've already thrown thousands of Destructo Discs inside the Time Chamber. Even Frieza had to dodge them."

He paused.

"I'll teach you how to create and control Destructo Discs—different sizes, remote detonation... everything I've learned."

Piccolo's eyes flickered with interest.

Krillin added, "Others might be content polishing one skill or training harder, but I'm trying to build a toolkit for survival. I want options. I want insurance. Because we don't know what the hell is coming next."

A long silence followed.

Finally, Piccolo crossed his arms. "Fine. But don't cry when you lose your arms trying to charge the beam."

Krillin grinned. "Deal."

Weeks Pass — Skill Exchange Begins

Training Schedule:

Morning: Krillin meditates to expand energy control—foundation for beam precision.

Midday: Sparring with Tien or Yamcha, pushing body limits.

Evening: Piccolo teaches theory and fundamentals of Makankōsappō.

Night: Krillin meditates while remotely guiding Destructo Disc variants around Kami's Lookout, refining control.

Piccolo, for his part, learned how to shape the Destructo Disc and even form double-blades—though he rarely admitted his respect for the technique.

Krillin's Thoughts – Private Moment

"Special Beam Cannon is tough. Two-finger focus. Spiral ki compression. I need patience... control. But once I master it? It'll give me long-range piercing power, a technique designed to punch through Saiyan armor."

"I'm not aiming to replace my moves—I'm building a damn arsenal."

Three Months Later – Taking Gohan

Piccolo, standing tall, watched silently as Krillin approached him.

"I want to take Gohan into the Hyperbolic Time Chamber," Krillin said.

Piccolo frowned. "He's not ready."

"He won't ever be unless someone teaches him to grow fast. And I can do it without nearly killing him every other day."

Gohan, standing nearby, perked up. "Really? You mean it?"

Krillin knelt in front of him. "You've got potential, kid. But power means nothing if you don't understand how to use it."

Piccolo was quiet for a long moment, then gave a slight nod. "Don't make me regret this."

Side Training Begins — The Skill Collector

While Gohan rested after his chamber session, Krillin took time to begin gathering the other tricks he'd been thinking about for months.

Learning Telekinesis – Chiaotzu

One afternoon, Krillin approached Chiaotzu.

"Hey, teach me that telekinesis thing."

Chiaotzu blinked. "You mean lifting stuff with my mind?"

Krillin nodded. "Even if I can't do it like you, even partial control might be the difference between life and death."

Chiaotzu smiled. "Okay. It starts with focusing your ki like a thread… not a blast."

They began working on levitating pebbles, then stones, and eventually small boulders. Krillin didn't have Chiaotzu's natural gift for it—but he managed a basic level of control.

Learning Cloning – Tien's Four Witches Technique

Next, Krillin joined Tien.

"Show me the Four Body Split Technique."

Tien raised a brow. "It splits your power evenly across each clone. That can be risky."

Krillin nodded. "Still worth it."

Tien taught him the core principle—splitting ki into four stable shells while maintaining mental control. Krillin struggled with it initially but eventually managed to hold two clones for a few seconds during sparring.

Shapeshifting School — Oolong's Guidance

One evening, Krillin approached Oolong in West City.

"You used to go to shapeshifting school, right?"

Oolong yawned. "I dropped out of shapeshifting school."

"Still better than nothing. Tell me where it is. I want to learn."

Oolong laughed. "You? Why would you want to be a pig or a chair?"

Krillin crossed his arms. "I'm thinking battlefield decoys. Disguises. Infiltration. Strategy."

Oolong blinked. "...Huh. That actually makes sense."

He scribbled the location down. "Here. Don't blame me if you turn into a pair of underwear and can't change back."

Final Request – Message for Kami

Before the day ended, Krillin approached Mr. Popo, who was watering the sacred plants.

"Popo, can you deliver a message to Kami for me?"

Mr. Popo glanced up. "Yes. What is it?"

Krillin folded his arms.

"Tell him... I want to speak to him personally. About the future. Not just of Earth—of the Universe."

Mr. Popo nodded solemnly. "I will let him know."
