Leaving the Academy Hall, Jaden Yuki did not return to the dormitory. Instead, he walked straight toward the Abandoned Dorm.
During Professor Vellian Crowler's class, Jaden had taken a moment to organize his current deck. He knew that the six spirits from the future brought with them many cards from that era. Although the summoning system was restricted by the limits of the GX era, preventing anything too outrageous from appearing, the effect of Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion was still a significant constraint on the expansion of a HERO deck.

Jaden vaulted over the blockade in front of the Abandoned Dorm, pushed open the doors, and stepped inside.

The moment he entered, a chilling aura rushed toward him. Mingled with the girl's dark sneer, a terrifying cold wind whipped at the corners of Jaden's clothes and his hair. However, bathed in dark energy, Jaden stood motionless in the draft, his eyes flashing with that dark gold light.
"Jaden Yuki, you've finally come," the girl's voice echoed through the hallway. "That coward Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit must have surrendered already, right?"
"Ngh..." Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit's phantom appeared at Jaden's side. She gritted her teeth, her red eyes staring angrily into the dark wind. "I I never wanted to get involved in this mess with you guys anyway!"
"Oh? That is truly disappointing... Ghost Ogre." Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion's indifferent voice rang out, followed by a low chuckle. "Then you and Jaden Yuki can stay here forever and play with me. Hehehehe."
Rumble!
The wind howled as countless darkness tokens roared out from the hallway ahead. Their numbers were staggering, surging forward like an ocean wave.
"Waah!" Seeing the dense mass of black spherical objects, Ghost Ogre took fright and hastily fled back into the consciousness world.
Jaden raised the Duel Disk on his left arm and said coldly, "I activate the effect of Evil HERO Malicious Bane!"
His dark gold eyes glittered with an icy light in the darkness. "Hah!"
Malicious Bane's power erupted to its limit. An intense pressure instantly swept through the tokens that covered the sky and earth. In a single breath, all the tokens were scattered by the terrifying aura, reduced to mere fragments. These fragments then became nourishment for Malicious Bane, continuously strengthening its body.

"Well, the Supreme King's Evil HERO is quite impressive," Ghost Belle's voice drifted down from upstairs.

"I'll watch out," Jaden replied. He threw out his hand and shouted, "Go, Malicious Bane! Find where Ghost Belle is hiding!"
Malicious Bane nodded and leaped toward the stairs. However, the moment he stepped onto the first stair, a pitch-black crack suddenly opened beneath his feet.
"That that is!" Ghost Ogre's face paled. "Oh no! It's a Trap Hole! Has that girl already set traps here in advance?"
The crack beneath Malicious Bane widened, and hands began reaching out from the fissure to seize his body. The dark laughter continued to linger in the air. Even though Malicious Bane was incredibly powerful at this moment, he felt as if he had fallen into a quagmire within this endless hole; no matter how he struggled, he couldn't exert his strength.
"Is it Deep Dark Trap Hole? As I thought, battles between spirits are slightly different from duels."
Jaden quickly drew a card from the top of his deck.
"Quick-Play Spell, Mask Change!"
Jaden slammed the card onto the Spell and Trap Zone. Malicious Bane's body was instantly enveloped in a black light. The light shot out from the Trap Hole and landed back at Jaden's side.
As the black light faded, Masked HERO Anki appeared, clad in black armor with a single horn on his forehead. The letter 'M' slowly materialized on his belt.
"...That was close. Luckily, the Supreme King isn't someone who is easily dealt with," Ghost Ogre sighed in relief. If the Supreme King had been taken out here by Ghost Belle, she would likely have been swallowed whole by the remaining five.
"I already know what deck Ghost Belle is using," Jaden said, frowning deeply.
To be able to manipulate so many traps so flexibly, especially with a focus on Trap Holes, it could only be the Traptrix deck a perfect fit for Ghost Belle's personality.
"We're doomed. HERO decks have a miserable win rate when facing a Backrow Heavy deck like Traptrix," Ghost Ogre murmured, her expression changing. "Supreme King, maybe we should go back for now, regroup, and try again!"
