This evening I practically skipped to dinner after my new found knowledge. I'm not a horrible woman, and my pull to Ryder isn't wrong. With a genuine smile on my face I stroll into the dining room. My assigned seat next to Chris had been taken by Bentley. I'm not surprised, he thinks he's making a power play to prove my place in the pack hierarchy. He doesn't realize I feel relieved that I don't have to sit there. "Tessa, come here we've saved a seat for you." Chase calls out. I smile and move towards their table, I also notice Jaxon and Alyse were sitting there as well. I took my seat and greeted everyone. "After dinner would you like to show me the garden? It looks beautiful." Priscilla asked. " Of course, I'd love to." I answered. Dinner breezed by, immersed in conversation. After dessert, everyone with a mate participated in games. Our table stood to go out to the garden when I heard Chris call out " Where are you all going, the games just started." "We're going to tour the garden, none of us have mates, so it's not like we can play the games." I countered. I saw a pained look cross past his face, but it was gone quickly. What did he expect I was his mate, but it's not like we're a couple, he had his bought barbie sitting next to him. I ushered our small group to the garden, when the men stopped abruptly " You go on and walk with Priscilla and Alyson, we're going to stand guard to make sure no one eavesdrops." Chase smiled and gestured for us to keep walking. Priscilla looped her arm through mine and said " I wish we had a proper meeting back at Red Moon, I can't imagine what went through your mind." " It's fine, but yes I thought you were Ryder's mate, but I can honestly say I'm happy you're not." I chuckled. " Well, we have some things to discuss, Ryder has a plan, he hopes you'll want to go along with it." she glanced at me. We walked to the middle of the garden,where there were benches, and the three of us took a seat. " Tessa, you're an Alpha wolf, did you know that you can reject Alpha Christopher, you don't have to wait on his rejection." she told me. I looked at her bewildered, I didn't have knowledge of this, I wish I had known this sooner. " Wow, that's good to hear, I should run in there and get it over with." I exclaimed excitedly. "No tomorrow after the ceremony you'll reject him, then Ryder would like you to return with us. Jaxon already said he's going with you, so you would already have someone you're close to leaving with us." she gave a coaxing grin. I took a deep breath and nodded my head " Let's do this, I need to get out of here." She held my hand and told me
" You can't tell anyone, maybe your brother, then he can explain everything. You don't need to pack we already have some things for you, then we can go shopping and get anything else you would need. We have to be as secretive as possible, we don't want Christopher to find out." I closed my eyes, and thought it best to keep this under wraps. I know I'll regret not seeing my Aunt Natasha and Uncle Geoff, I'll miss my sister and nephew, Uncle Ben and Aunt Deidre will be so upset with me. I gave Priscilla a knowing look " I won't tell a soul, just Damien, I promise." She smiled brightly, then she glanced at Alyson " Would you like to come with us?" Alyse shook her head no " I'm sorry I can't leave my parents, and Silvermyst is all I know, I'd be too frightened to go elsewhere."
" I completely understand, I'll go back to the guys and let you two have some time to talk." Priscilla spoke as she started to walk away. I turned to look at Alyse " Are you positive you don't want to go with us? You could find your mate." Alyse started to laugh " Find my mate, only if I have a second chance, because I was rejected years ago." " You never told me, I wish you would have told me, you wouldn't have had to endure that on your own." I scolded her. " Tess it's alright really, it didn't tear me up that bad, he wanted someone else and I was understanding of that. I didn't want to be someone's second choice, his human side emotionally was stronger than his wolf's. I'll find someone one day, I'm in no hurry." she replied. " Who was stupid enough to reject you?" I questioned. " It was Tristan, but do not say anything to him Tess, it was years ago and we're all great friends." she warned me. " Well that worked out, I guess the girl didn't want him. He's still alone with no girlfriend so that was idiotic of him." I responded. " Yeah the girl was head over heels for another, I kind of feel bad for him, he still waits for her. " she shrugged. " Well he deserves that, not taking my girl into consideration." I hugged her tightly. We sat and conversed a while longer. I sighed " We might as well start walking back." I suggested. As we were walking back I knew I had to talk to Jaxon and make sure he was positive about leaving his family and his home.
