Chapter 114 - Chapter 114: Mordred Finally Went Crazy

The Lion King's eyes remained calm, and her expression was still serious, as if the Demon Pillar's words had not affected her at all. At this moment, the light of the Holy Grail spread outward.

Tristan and Mordred, who had been dragging their injured bodies to provide support, looked at their wounded shoulders and arms. The injuries that still hindered their movements were healing rapidly under the illumination of the golden light.

At the same time, the protective aura around them grew stronger. At least for now, Mordred ignored her left arm, which had begun to recover, and covered her head with both hands. It was as if a voice inside her mind constantly nagged her—noisy and irritable—and the anger burst forth directly from the depths of her heart.

If Mordred was once a sword knight merely in a rampage state, then the current Mordred had probably completely transformed into a berserker, with reason locked deep within her mind.

An unknown rage continued to burn within her, and Mordred charged straight toward the gate. Only by fighting—by constantly unleashing her treasure to vent the magic power surging inside her—could she find some brief peace.

There was only endless killing, endless fighting, and endless releasing of treasures.

Even as she rushed to the gate, her entire body was wrapped in red thunder. Obviously, such a release of magical power was unnecessary, but for Mordred, this was the state she had to maintain to avoid self-destruction.

Tristan's state was even sadder. He had once been noble, but now he was corrupt. If he used to say he was sad but killed quickly, now he even felt joy in killing! It was exhilarating to deprive others of their lives while playing music with his hands.

In the past, the Knights of the Round Table struggled with their consciences and moved forward burdened with blood and sin, but now they were truly mad and depraved.

At the gate, Aslan held his sword in one hand and a spear in the other, charging directly at Gawain, intent on exploiting Gawain's injured state to kill a Knight of the Round Table. Even Gareth, spear in hand, charged forward like a lone wolf.

Originally, this should have been a fatal blow, but at that moment, the power of the Holy Grail spread. The sunlight that had been confined to the gate instantly spread across the entire city. Simultaneously, Gawain's strength doubled, and his wounds began to heal rapidly. He swung his sun blade forward, and a burning wall of fire blocked Gareth's attack.

Although the fire erupted suddenly, it was nothing to Aslan. The distant Avalon blossomed instantly, forming a shield that personally protected him. Once deployed, the shield's flames automatically spread to the surroundings, and at the same time, the holy sword in his hand swung forward.

Aslan truly wanted to attack the Sun Knight before him. Even if he couldn't charm or distract him, he could still improve his chances of landing a hit.

Unfortunately, Gawain had always viewed Aslan with rejection and hostility since long ago, so this beautiful young man had no chance of succeeding.

Even if it were the normal Gawain, he would probably tell Fujimaru in Chaldea not to team him up with Aslan.

Feeling the endless power flowing through his body along with increased speed and defense, Gawain reacted quickly and used the Holy Sword of the Sun to block the Sword of Glorious Victory. Gawain certainly understood the source of this power: the only one who could grant such strength now was their king.

"This power! My king! I will definitely bring you victory! Aslan! I have never tasted the fruits of victory under your command before, but I will win this time!"

Looking at the confident Gawain, Aslan only frowned slightly. The Sun Knight was indeed strong, but thinking he could defeat him like this was overconfidence! The Sword of Brilliant Victory in Aslan's hand collided with the Holy Sword of the Sun, and he prepared to unleash Boiling Dragon Blood.

No matter how strong Gawain was now—with his stats raised by one level and the absolutely invincible Faraway Avalon—what could he do to Aslan? But Aslan was not alone here. If he could stop Gawain, could others stop the other Knights of the Round Table?

Melusine launched a surprise attack toward Agravaine, who was standing on the city wall. It should have been certain, but with the Holy Grail's power spreading, Agravaine's reactions had improved. He ordered the Knights of Justice around him to block Melusine's path, using them as shields.

The sharp sword in Melusine's hand easily broke the necks of these upright knights, but Agravaine took the opportunity to stand behind them once again.

At the same time, the thunder of released treasures echoed nearby. Red lightning pierced through the city wall, tore through the sky, and bombarded the plains beyond, nearly striking the first group of evacuees. Looking up, Mordred, advancing at a furious speed fueled by bursting magic power, had already reached the front line of the city gate and let out a roar.

Wrapped in red thunder, the magic sword in her hand constantly waved, summoning pillar after pillar of thunder.

Agravaine saw Mordred's madness from afar and sneered, "Has that childish knight finally gone mad? But this look really suits a rebellious knight."

Agravaine died early and did not know that the direct cause of King Arthur's downfall was Mordred's rebellion. Having been summoned as a heroic spirit this time and learned of King Arthur's life, he naturally bore no goodwill toward Mordred.

One must be crazy to betray the king. This madness is her true nature.

Melusine temporarily gave up on Agravaine and collided with Mordred, who charged like a madwoman.

Agravaine's crisis was temporarily resolved, causing more upright knights to fall into madness. They charged forward with even greater strength.

Faint piano notes drifted from the city gate. Invisible arrows flew from afar one after another. Were it not for Arash's keen eyesight, these attacks would have decapitated ordinary civilians.
