Chapter 7 - Chapter 6: Learning Five Magic Spell

**Chapter 6: Learning Five Magic Spell

---

### **The Academy at Twilight**

Ethan stepped out of the cafeteria into the cool evening air, the twin moons of Eldria casting their silver glow over the sprawling campus of Moonlight Academy. The white marble pathways shimmered underfoot, illuminated by floating lanterns that bobbed gently in the breeze. The grand spires of the academy's towers stretched toward the sky, their surfaces etched with ancient runes that pulsed with latent magic.

But his destination was clear—**the Grand Library.**

A colossal structure of dark stone and gold-veined marble, its arched windows glowed warmly from within, promising knowledge, power, and secrets yet untapped.

*"Time to expand my arsenal."*

---

The moment Ethan pushed open the heavy oak doors of the library, the low hum of conversation died.

Dozens of students—far more than had been present that morning—froze mid-motion. Quills hovered above parchment. Pages stopped turning. Every eye in the room locked onto him.

Whispers slithered through the air like serpents: "*

Ethan ignored them all, striding past the staring crowds toward the spellbook section. The Headmaster had forbidden him from **casting** spells unsupervised—but he'd said nothing about **learning** them.

And with his **Magic Affinity at 100**, he could master **anything.**

---

Ethan's fingers trailed along the leather-bound spines, selecting five tomes with deliberate care:

1. **"Gravity's Grasp"** *(A force magic that manipulates weight and momentum)*

2. **"Dragon's Inferno"** *(A fire spell that conjures a flaming serpent of destruction)*

3. **"Zephyr Step"** *(Wind magic enhancing speed and agility)*

4. **"Vineheart Dominion"** *(Nature magic controlling plant growth)*

5. **"Holy Light Sword"** *(A radiant blade summoned from the heavens)*

He also selected a sword technique manual—*"Frostmoon Duelist Style"*—because versatility never hurt.

The librarian, a thin man with spectacles perched on his nose, nearly choked on his tea when Ethan placed the stack on the counter.

*"A-Apprentice Gale! These are **advanced** combat spells! You can't possibly—"*

*"The Headmaster's orders were clear,"* Ethan said smoothly. *"No **casting** without supervision. He said nothing about **studying**."*

The librarian's mustache twitched. *"Fine. But if you reduce yourself to ashes, don't come crying to me."*

Ethan smirked. *"Noted."*

---

Back in his dorm, Ethan spread the books across his bed.

*"System. Integrate and upgrade all five spells to maximum."*

**[Processing…]**

**[Gravity's Grasp → Level 9: "Sky's Dominion"]** *(Full control over gravitational forces—flight, crushing pressure, or weightless suspension)*

**[Dragon's Inferno → Level 9: "Ember flame Serpent"]** *(Summons a massive fire dragon that breathes white-hot flames)*

**[Zephyr Step → Level 9: "Stormstride"]** *(Near-teleportation via wind currents)*

**[Vine heart Dominion → Level 9: "World root Awakening"]** *(Commands all plant life within a mile radius)*

**[Holy Light Sword → Level 9: "Heaven's Judgment"]** *(A blade of divine light that descends from the sky, searing through darkness)*

**[Frostmoon Duelist Style → Mastery Achieved]**

Knowledge **flooded** Ethan's mind—the intricate matrices of each spell, the precise footwork of the sword forms, the raw **feel** of magic thrumming through his veins. His hands trembled with restrained power.

He flexed his fingers, imagining the **Holy Light Sword**—a blade of pure radiance that would streak down from the heavens like a falling star, striking with the fury of divine judgment.

*"Perfect."*

---

Ethan couldn't resist trying one spell—just a small one.

He focused on **Gravity's Grasp**, channeling a fraction of its power.

His feet **lifted off the floor.**

A grin spread across his face as he hovered in mid-air, weightless. With a thought, he drifted toward the ceiling, then back down, landing softly.

*"Flight. Finally."*

Next, he envisioned the **Emberflame Serpent**—not summoning it fully, but feeling its essence coil within him. Heat bloomed in his chest, the phantom sensation of wings and fire flickering at the edges of his consciousness.

*"Soon."*

---

Ethan exhaled, rolling his shoulders.

For now, he needed rest.

But as he lay in bed, his mind buzzed with possibilities.

With these spells, he was no longer just a survivor.

He was **a force of nature.**
