Chapter 208 - Chapter 208: Ripple Effects

After playing with magnetic metal manipulation for a while, Marcus suddenly thought of a weapon.

"Speaking of which, it would be great if I had a Daikyu Bow—it's a perfect match with magnetic force."

Marcus thought of the spirit weapon from the game, the Daikyu Bow.

This weapon was excellent on its own, and its special properties could integrate perfectly with Mag .

Without the Daikyu Bow, Mag was just a warframe with good control abilities. But with the Daikyu Bow, Mag could maximize the effect of its control capabilities.

Especially when the Daikyu Bow was used in conjunction with Mag 's magnetic field, it could produce incredible results.

Magnetize could trap targets in a large-scale magnetic field, gathering all enemies within range toward the center of the field.

All projectiles in the magnetic field would be redirected by the magnetism, making every shot converge on the field's center while amplifying the damage of each projectile.

The Daikyu Bow's energy arrows went through three stages before firing.

In the first stage of quick shots, it could fire regular energy arrows for impact damage.

In the second stage of charged shots, it could fire arrows that infinitely penetrated enemies, easily piercing through armor.

In the third stage of perfect shots, in addition to infinite penetration, the destructive power was at its highest.

This was why the Daikyu Bow was so compatible with Mag 's magnetic field—the field could gather all surrounding enemies together while the Daikyu Bow could rely on its super penetration to devastate clustered enemies, quickly eliminating threats.

It could be said that the Daikyu Bow almost perfectly complemented Mag 's abilities, and combining them could achieve results where one plus one was greater than two.

However, this was exactly what bothered Marcus the most. He could craft all kinds of weapons, but he had no clue about making the Daikyu Bow.

After all, in the game this bow was carved from spirit demon bones—a very ancient spirit weapon.

While he had a Revenant, the Revenant couldn't compare to the spirit bones used for the Daikyu Bow. After all, the Revenant was just a warrior of the spirit realm, while the Daikyu Bow was carved from royal spirit bones.

"This is really troublesome. I wonder if I'll be able to make the Daikyu Bow after mastering spirit crafting methods in the future."

Sighing regretfully, Marcus canceled his transformation in a flash, feeling disappointed that there was no way to create the bow right now.

After several days of media coverage, the armored alien incident continued to intensify.

People from around the world came to Dr. Otto's laboratory almost daily, searching for possible traces left by the alien.

Dr. Otto was very annoyed by this situation. He needed a quiet place to conduct research, and now he couldn't concentrate at all.

"Mr. Osborn, how's my new laboratory coming along? I can't do any research here!"

Hearing Dr. Otto's complaints over the phone, Harry laughed and spun around in his chair.

"It's almost ready—we just need to move your equipment now."

Harry had been extremely excited these past few days. Ever since his father's death, the Osborn Group had been declining, but now under his leadership, the Osborn Group would rise again and reclaim its former glory.

It was all thanks to Otto's artificial sun, and to that mysterious armored alien called Wisp.

"Things are slowly getting better, and Osborn will lead the new era."

Like Harry, Peter had also made a lot of money from his photos these past few days. He couldn't believe that just a single photo of an armored alien could sell for thousands of dollars.

His annual living expenses weren't even several thousand, and now he could earn that much just by selling one photo. It felt like a dream.

"Aunt May, we're rich!"

Peter said happily. His family wasn't wealthy, and now he could make money selling photos to improve life for him and Aunt May.

"We certainly are rich. Looks like your dinners can be fancier now."

Aunt May also looked joyful. These past few days, Peter had earned tens of thousands selling photos.

While it might not be much to others, it was definitely a huge amount for them. If they used it wisely, they could live comfortably.

"Aunt May, I have to go out—another customer wants to buy photos!"

Peter smiled and waved the photo in his hand. At this moment, he was very grateful he always carried a camera.

"Go ahead!" Aunt May smiled.

After leaving home, Peter changed into his Spider-Man costume.

He preferred using his spider abilities to move quickly rather than running to the meeting location for transactions.

A web strand shot out, and Peter shouted excitedly as he swung through the air, quickly passing between tall buildings as he rushed toward his destination.

This buyer was offering three hundred dollars for a photo, and he wasn't going to miss that opportunity.

On the other side, several leaders of the Hyena Gang were watching a video showing Dr. Otto's laboratory.

This video had been released by reporters when they broke the news. The first part showed Dr. Otto's artificial sun research, and the latter part showed the nun-like alien.

But these guys had no interest in aliens—their focus was entirely on Dr. Otto's mechanical tentacles.

"Boss Hyena, how about we steal that thing? With those tentacles, we could expand our territory," one gang leader suggested.

The pathetic state of Wild Dog and his crew a few days ago was still fresh in their minds. So many of them had gone to attack one person and gotten beaten like that.

If they had those mechanical tentacles, who would dare fight them?

That way, the Hyena Gang could expand their territory outward instead of being stuck guarding this small patch of ground.

The boss called Hyena thought for a moment before agreeing.

"Send someone to find out where those mechanical tentacles are stored. They'll be mine tonight."

The hyena smiled viciously. He couldn't wait to control those mechanical arms. In his mind, using such versatile mechanical tentacles for experiments was wasteful—why not give them to him and let him master the tentacles instead?

Looking at the flexible mechanical arms in the video, the hyena could barely contain his excitement.

Under the hyena's orders, members of the Hyena Gang began moving into action. Many of them snuck around Dr. Otto's laboratory, trying to peer through the glass and locate the mechanical tentacles their boss was so interested in.
