THE NEXT DAY
" What is Martial Art?" asked the old man...
"Is it not the use of specific techniques in hand to hand combat...." replied Indra...
"Well, you are not wrong child but neither right...then tell me why one learns it" asked the old man
"To defeat your enemy and protect your people..." replied Indra
"Again you are neither right nor wrong..." said the old man..
"I didn't understand Sir" replied Indra....
"Your answers are too technical boy, you are telling the answers which you have listen from others, but when the answer comes from a man's own understanding and his own heart is when he has truly understood it..." replied the old man slowly stretching his hand and patting Indra's head...
" I feel like a child" thought Indra but he liked it, the kindness of the old man, it made him remember his family....
"Then Sir, what is the right answer.." asked Indra in curiosity...
"I cannot tell you that , even if I told you there will be no difference in your answers...that is why you are here, These thirty days , there will be no physical training, you are going to spend your time finding answer to that" replied the old man...
He further added "You are like a fish now that knows it lives in water and water is important for her but...it has no realisation how much or why water until she leaves the river and explore the land...."
Indra felt he could understand what he was telling him....He bowed and politely asked " What I will have to do to find those answers Sir?.."
"Just explore kid...go through the village...meet people..I bet you never get a chance to interact with village people because lot of things were going on....those 5 years you only did meditation which is why you are calm most of the time but in that loneliness you forgot something that makes a man human..." replied the old man smiling kindly looking at Indra...
" That is all...and how do you know about those five years Sir.." asked Indra with his surprised eyes....
" Yes..that's all and I already told you no questions besides the training.." replied the old man as he walked towards his field which shined with the golden brown riped wheat....
"Interact with more people...hmmm...it has been a long time...I don't know if it is going to work...I am a fish who need to go out of water hufffff...let us see...Where to start from ?" said Indra talking to himself....
Indra left the place as he went to explore more in the village....
As he went through the village...he analysed each and every detail...but doing this soon he get bored...
"Ufffff...How is this helping?..I wonder what Hakai is doing...." sighed Indra..
He continued to tour through the village ,after walking for a while he saw a man looking at him...
The man said," Hey kindly looking soul, Could you spare me some money, I need it urgently..."
" I myself do not have much but I think I can give you some..." said Indra
" TRYING TO LOOT SOMEONE AGAIN HUHHH, THIS TIME I WON'T GO EASY ON YOU!!!!" said a person who suddenly appeared from behind...he was Kurai...
"The man you are giving your money is a low level beast capable of changing its shape and using human speech...." said Kurai
After seeing Kurai the man's face caught a light greenish fire and as its body burnt , it turned into black flame resembling human figure with sharp eyes and mouth...and it tried to attack Indra in an attempt to take him hostage... but immediately got punched by Indra knocking him on the ground...
Kurai was initially surprised but then recognised him...he said as he scratched his head " Uhhhh...you are that Maverick who was recently accepted in the village...you are not bad...hmmm"
"Yup...you know about me..I think I saw you somewhere too...ummm...you are the guy from that food stall who is single..." asked Indra
" You don't have to mention that 'single' thing..and yeah it should not surprise you if everyone in the village knows about you since you are a rare occurrence...a 'Maverick',..and I am in Security Services too..." replied Kurai as he grabbed the beast..and put it on his shoulders....
"DA..MN YOU....KURAI..IT IS ALWAYS YOU..." said the beast in anger....
" Will you not neutralize it?" asked Indra
" Yeah we are allowed to do it if the beast become too troublesome just like the one I am carrying on my shoulders....but...you know...I think sometimes..who am I to decide...and this guy is just rigid I will immediately kill it before he try to cross his line...so for now I am going to kick out the village once again and find out how he sneaks again and again without getting caught " replied Kurai yawning..tired from his schedule...
"You looked tired...a lot of work to do in security services..." said Indra looking at the dark circles under Kurai's eyes....
"You can say that but I am the only one without a partner so I have extra work to do.." replied Kurai..
"So it did troubles you that you are single.." said Indra smiling...
"NOT THAT PARTNER!! I meant a working partner, you IDIOT!!" said Kurai scratching his head...
"Uhhh..Ohhh.. I am sorry..." replied Indra
"Forget that...I thought you would be in a mission but it doesn't seem so..." said Kurai...
"I have got a mission but it has time...so I am training, my master sent me to village to explore all sort of things...." said Indra
" It means you are slacking off...if you are free you can tag along with me..." said Kurai..thinking it will atleast lower down his burden..
"Really...it will help me a lot..at least I will not be roaming around the village like a ghost.."said Indra...
"Okay then ...my name is Kurai , I work in Local Security Services...it will be nice working with you for time being..."said Kurai..
"By the way , Mister Kurai who is hiding behind that tree, it seems the person's motives are not good..." said Indra in a concerning tone...
"Ahhh..her.. she is...I don't know her but she already has tried to kill me a multiple times..today is her third time... just leave her alone..."replied Kurai in an unbothered tone..
"Uhhh..huh...you are a weird guy...but I look forward working with you..." said Indra making a funny face....
