Aiden pushed open the door and barely got a foot inside before Selvara rushed him, arms around his neck, lips pressed to his cheek.
She hugged him tight, then kissed him with all the pent-up worry she'd been hiding.
"How'd it go?" She whispered. "Did you tell them about the leader… being human?"
Aiden sighed, sinking into the warmth. "No. Didn't say a word about him."
Selvara pulled back a little, frowning. "Why?"
He kissed her forehead. "I figured you had a reason for keeping it quiet. I trust you."
She smiled at that, hugged him tighter. "Thank you." Quick peck to his lips. "Really."
A cough cut through the room. Lysandra, already half-lounged on the bed, cleared her throat, drawing everyone's eyes.
She patted the bed beside her. "Come on, don't just stand there." Laid beside Leona, curled up, face pressed right into Lysandra's boobs, dozing like the world didn't exist.
Aiden kicked off his boots and moved over, Selvara right behind, both of them crawling onto the bed.
