Michelle entered the kitchen area and looked around before turning her flashlight on. Michelle heard something clinking in the distance, which made her turn her head to the right. "Something about this is off..." she said, lowly.
Michelle twisted the knob, switching from the red hand to the orange hand. "Just in case..." she continued before slowly walking forward. When Michelle spotted the knocked-over metal cabinet shelves, she crouched before going through it.
When Michelle stood properly, she saw something scurrying on the shelf. "Based on appearance, that's probably another Nightmare Critter..." she said, lowly.
When Michelle turned her head to the right, she saw a note in the corner, which made her slowly approach it. Michelle picked up the note and looked at it.
Soon after, Michelle's face went pale. "What the hell..." she said, lowly. "It's some... cryptic letter... to a Mr. and Mrs. Ayers about their son named Jack..."
Michelle remembered something, and her blood ran cold. "Could this be... the same Jack that was made into Doey... what the hell did this company do to his parents?" she asked herself.
Michelle crumpled the note and tossed it before slowly walking forward. When Michelle turned to the right, she saw a fridge covering the door. "I'll need something to pull the fridge out of the way," she said.
Michelle turned her head to the left and saw a meat hook near an empty slot. "I can place the hook on it first, and then I'll find that lever," she said before pulling the left trigger.
The blue hand grabbed the meat hook before retracting; Michelle aimed at the fridge handle before pulling the left trigger again. The blue hand placed the hook in the handle before retracting. Michelle turned to the right and saw an open door before slowly approaching it.
When Michelle was close to the entrance, she saw a few large black bags hanging from the ceiling. "It wouldn't surprise me if these bags have corpses inside..." she said, lowly, before slowly walking forward.
As Michelle walked past a few hanging bags, she heard something on the right side, which made her hold out her orange hand before slowly stepping forward.
When Michelle was close to the end, she spotted an opening. "I'm ready for you, you little bastard..." she said, lowly, before slowly walking forward. When Michelle reached the opening, she saw a Nightmare Critter shaped like a rat drop down.
As the Nightmare Critter faced Michelle, she shot a few flares at it, which made it screech before running away. "Yeah, that's right; get outta here you little shit!" she shouted.
Michelle twisted the knob, switching from the orange hand to the red hand before looking at the ground and seeing a lever.
Michelle picked the lever up. "Now to lift that fridge," she said before slowly walking away. When Michelle was close to the empty slot, she placed the lever inside it before pulling it down.
Soon after, the meat hook pulled the fridge out of the opening, which revealed a hallway. "I should be getting close to Safe Haven..." Michelle said, lowly, before slowly walking forward.
When Michelle was close to a large crack in the hallway, a long pink arm wrapped around her, which made her yelp. Michelle closed her eyes before she was pulled into the large crack.
When Michelle opened her eyes, they widened when she saw Kissy with burn marks on her right side and small slashes on her right arm and left leg, and Poppy standing on her left shoulder. "Ki—" she covered her mouth, which made her stop.
Poppy shushed Michelle before they heard mechanical noises, which made her turn her head to the hallway. Michelle looked in the hallway and her eyes widened when she saw the shadow of three large, heavy-duty plated arachnid-like legs bonded with cables.
Michelle stared in horror while Poppy turned away, shaking as the arachnid-like legs walked forward. Michelle looked at Poppy as she turned her head to the hallway when the mechanical noises became quieter.
Kissy Missy removed her hand from Michelle's mouth before turning the other way and walking forward. "Through the showers... we should be able to make it into Safe Haven from there," Poppy whispered.
When Kissy Missy reached the other end, Poppy looked through the opening. Michelle looked at Kissy Missy, worried. "Oh, Kissy..." she said, lowly. Kissy Missy looked at Michelle before petting her head. Poppy looked at the duo. "When I say go, we go," she said.
The duo nodded as Poppy looked forward before pointing forward. "Go!" she shouted. Kissy Missy came out of the opening and placed Michelle on the ground before walking forward.
Michelle looked behind herself and saw a tape, which made her crouch and pick it up before slowly following behind the duo. When Michelle turned to the right, she saw a mini Kissy Missy hiding behind a locker, scared.
Michelle slowly approached the mini Kissy Missy and held her hand out. "It's OK, little one... I'm not gonna hurt you..." she said, lowly.
The mini Kissy Missy stared at Michelle's hand before leaving the locker and climbing onto her shoulder, which made her gently smile before slowly walking forward.
Further in the showers, Michelle saw a mini Hoppy Hopscotch standing in a shower. "W-Who are you?" he asked. Michelle crouched and held her hand out. "A friend..." she said.
The mini Hoppy Hopscotch stared at Michelle's hand before hesitantly approaching her and placing his hand in it. Michelle gently picked the mini Hoppy Hopscotch up and slowly walked forward.
When Michelle was close to the hallway, she saw Kissy Missy bang on a large gate. Soon after, the gate opened, which allowed Kissy Missy to enter.
As Kissy Missy stepped to the side, Michelle saw most of her group. Bunzo Bunny spotted Michelle and sprinted toward her. "Big Sis!" he shouted.
Michelle shushed Bunzo Bunny when he was close. "It's not safe out here," she said, lowly, before handing the mini Hoppy Hopscotch to him. "C'mon, back inside." Bunzo Bunny nodded as he took the mini Hoppy Hopscotch before the duo went through the gate.
When Michelle was inside, she saw a large room with multiple makeshift tents, decorations hanging on the ceiling, a few shelves and tables scattered around the area, and murals on the walls.
After Michelle placed the mini Kissy Missy on the ground, she turned to the larger Kissy Missy as she placed Poppy on the ground. "Hurry; close it!" she shouted.
A green robot-like toy holding a device pressed the button, which closed the door. Michelle looked at the robot-like toy. "A Boogie Bot..." she said, lowly.
After Bunzo Bunny placed the mini Hoppy Hopscotch on the ground, he hugged Michelle. "I'm so glad you're OK..." he said, lowly. Michelle smiled at Bunzo Bunny and petted his head. "Likewise..." she said, lowly.
Michelle heard steps, which made her turn her head to the back. Michelle saw Doey and some of the larger Smiling Critters quickly approach the group. "What's going on? What's—" when they saw Kissy Missy, they were shocked. "Kissy!"
Doey quickly approached Kissy Missy. "Goodness! What happened?" he asked. Poppy looked at Doey. "We need to get her help now," she said. Doey did a double-take on Poppy before leaning toward her. "Poppy..." he said, lowly. "It's really..."
Doey looked at Kissy Missy before standing properly. "Right," he said before looking at Bobby BearHug. "Bobby, take the injured to the Infirmary; have Medic check up on them." Bobby BearHug nodded. "Yes, sir," she said.
Doey approached the gate and looked through the gap. "I'll check the defenses, see if something's still outside," he said. Poppy looked at Doey. "Not just something..." she said, which made him look at her. "It's him; he's out there."
Doey angrily turned to Poppy, which made her back away. "You brought him down—" he stopped himself before looking up, sighing, and placing his hand on his head. "We'll talk about this later..."
Doey's eyes landed on Michelle before looking at Poppy. "For now... I'll make sure 'out there' is where he stays," he continued before running toward the back.
The Boogie Bot pressed a few buttons on the device. "Locking down Safe Haven," she said, which locked the gate. "Reactivating the defenses..."
Bobby BearHug looked at the Boogie Bot. "Thank you, Scout," she said before looking at Kissy Missy. "C'mon, Kissy; let's get you patched up."
As Kissy Missy slowly approached Bobby BearHug, Poppy approached Michelle. "Michelle, I'd like to—" Bunzo Bunny stood before her and held his arms out, which surprised her. "Didn't you hear what Doey said? Bobby takes the injured with her."
When Poppy looked at Michelle, she noticed the elastic bandage on her right ankle, which shocked her. "When did it...?" she asked, lowly. Michelle looked at Poppy. "Back at Pianosaurus's cell..." she said. "It's nothing too terrible; just a sprain."
Poppy stared at Michelle's sprained ankle before nodding. "Then don't let me keep you waiting for Medic," she said. Michelle nodded as she slowly approached Bobby BearHug.
Unbeknownst to Michelle, Bobby BearHug sternly looked at Poppy, which made her look away with a slight frown. "C'mon, this way," she said.
Michelle nodded as she followed Bobby BearHug and Kissy Missy to the back right. Poppy stared at Michelle. Once Medic is done checking your ankle, I'll tell you my plan... she thought before approaching a tent and sitting down.
