Chapter 8 - Insecurities

The duo entered a small door with a shutter and lever on the right side. Michelle pulled the left trigger, launching the blue hand and grabbing the handle before pulling it. Soon after, the shutters moved up, which allowed the duo to enter.

As the duo walked forward, the lights in the room started to light up. Michelle looked around. "I can't believe I'm back here..." she said, lowly. "Though... I wish it were under other circumstances..."

Huggy Wuggy petted Michelle's head, which made her smile. "Thanks for the comfort, bud," she continued, which made him nod.

Soon after, the duo saw the train in the distance. "Once I beat Mommy's challenge, we'll be on our way to Playcare," Michelle said before looking at her bracelet. "Just hang on for a little longer, guys..."

Soon after, the duo stood before a panel with three levers. Michelle looked at the lever with the flashing red light beside it before pulling it down.

The speakers turned on and started playing music, which made the duo look around. "Hi, kids; welcome to the Game Station," Stella said. "I'm Stella, and we've got three super duper fun games to play."

The pathway to Musical Memory started opening up, which made the duo look at it. "These little tests show us just how crazy strong and smart you are," Stella continued. "Follow Mommy Long Legs down the stairs, and we'll start by playing Musical Memory; see you in a bit!"

After the speakers stopped, Michelle crossed her arms and looked down. Huggy Wuggy looked at Michelle before tapping her shoulder, which made her flinch a bit and look at him. "Oh, uh... sorry," she said before looking away. "My head was in a little funk just a moment ago."

Huggy Wuggy stared at Michelle as she sighed. "I mean... it's been a long time since I've played these games," she continued. "And now with this 'high stakes' stuff, I'm terrified.

Michelle paced around. "I mean... what if I lose? What if my memory is complete dogshit? What if I'm too slow? What if—" Huggy Wuggy placed his hands on her shoulders, which made her stop and look at him. "No talk bad..."

Michelle stared at Huggy Wuggy before looking down with a frown. "I'm sorry..." she said, lowly. Huggy Wuggy stared at Michelle before taking her bag off him. After setting the bag down, Huggy Wuggy placed both hands against the zipper before slowly unzipping it.

When Michelle looked at Huggy Wuggy, he wrapped his arm around something before pulling out a bag of cookies. Michelle stared at the bag of cookies before giggling a bit. "What's all this about, Huggy?" she asked.

Huggy Wuggy held out the bag of cookies to Michelle. "Luck... charm..." he said, lowly, before placing it in her hands. Michelle stared at the bag of cookies before smiling at Huggy Wuggy. "Thank you, Huggy... I feel a lot better now," she said before zipping the bag.

Huggy Wuggy looked at Michelle as she stood up and stretched. "Well, I can't keep Mommy waiting," she continued before hanging the bag of cookies on one of the GrabPack's hooks and walking forward. "I'm going to get that train code, and we're heading to Playcare."

Huggy Wuggy looked at Michelle as he put on her bag. "Good... luck..." he said, lowly. Michelle waved back before going down the steps.

As Michelle walked down the steps, she looked around. "I think my priority, though, is getting a new hand," she said before looking at her right side. "It'll be difficult to play Musical Memory with only one hand."

When Michelle reached the bottom of the stairs, she saw a large hole on the right side, which made her go through it. Michelle looked around the hallway. "Man... this feels weird without Huggy being by my side..." she said, lowly.

Michelle took a deep breath and exhaled. "It'll be fine, though," she continued before looking at the bag of cookies. "He's counting on me to beat this challenge." Soon after, Michelle saw a hole in the ground, which made her jump down.

Michelle turned her head to the left and saw a rocky pathway before crouching and walking forward. As Michelle got closer, she heard a faint beeping. "It sounds like we've got some sort of machinery up ahead," she said.

Soon after, Michelle entered a dark room. "I really should've packed a flashlight..." she said, lowly. When Michelle turned her head to the right, she saw a lever with a flashing light beside it.

Michelle approached the lever and pulled it down, which lit the room up. When Michelle looked up, she saw a large sign with the text reading 'Molding Room'. "A molding room?" she asked herself.

When Michelle looked forward, she spotted a hand mold, which made her smile. "Oh, I get it; this place can make me a new hand," she said before walking forward. "Let's see how this works."

When Michelle approached the panel, she saw a green VHS tape on it, which made her take it. "What do we have here?" she asked.

Michelle looked at one end and saw a text reading 'Green Hand'. "I'll play you after I get the green hand," she said before placing it back on the panel. "For now, let's get this thing powered up."

Michelle pressed the button with a droplet on it. Small plastic balls entered a large container before melting into liquid plastic.

Before Michelle pressed the second button, she noticed a pipe was out of place. "I bet if I press the second one, it'll spew liquid," she said before stepping away from the panel.

When Michelle was close, she pulled the trigger, launching the blue hand and grabbing the pipe before setting it in place. "There we go," she said before returning to the panel.

Michelle pressed the second button, which caused the liquid to enter the second part of the machine. Soon after, the second machine spewed liquid into the third machine, which formed hand molds.

Five hand molds were placed on the conveyor belt before moving toward the painting area. When Michelle pressed the third button, the machine made a noise, but nothing happened.

Soon after, Michelle saw a text reading 'No Paint In Machine' on the machine, which annoyed her. "Well, that's just great..." she said before stepping to the side. "There's got to be some paint around here somewhere."

Soon after, Michelle saw an area in the back light up. "That might be my ticket," she continued before walking to the back. Soon after, Michelle saw some stairs, which she climbed. When Michelle got on the catwalk, she saw a paint can on the conveyor belt.

Michelle pulled the trigger, launching the blue hand and grabbing the paint can before retracting. When Michelle was close to the machine, she spotted an empty slot. "This should do the trick," she said before pulling the trigger.

The blue hand placed the paint can into the machine before the light turned green. "Now, let's paint ourselves a green hand," Michelle continued before sprinting back. When Michelle reached the panel, she pressed the third button again.

The machine was powered before the green paint was sprayed on the hand molds. When the machine finished, Michelle pressed the fourth button, which caused the conveyor belt to move the green hands into the opening.

When Michelle approached the green hands, she grabbed one and put it in the right slot. "Let's get ourselves acquainted, green hand," she said. Michelle looked at the green VHS tape before pulling the right trigger.

The green hand grabbed the tape before Michelle retracted it. "I didn't forget about you yet," she said before looking around. Soon after, Michelle spotted a TV with a green VHS player. "Let's see what's on this," she continued before approaching it.

After inserting the tape, Michelle looked at the screen as it booted up. Soon after, the TV started playing a tutorial video about the green hand, which made Michelle hum.

After the video finished, Michelle looked at the green hand. "So you can hold electricity for ten seconds and transfer it into a receiving device for that same amount of time," she said. "Any longer than that, and the electricity will disappear."

Michelle looked at the green power outlet before pulling the right trigger. When the green hand touched the power outlet, it lit up before retracting back.

Michelle looked at the green receiver and pulled the right trigger again. The green hand touched the receiver, which opened a vent door. Michelle sprinted up the slope before it closed. "That'll definitely come in handy," she said before reaching the top.

When Michelle looked forward, she saw a dead end before taking a right. Michelle followed a pathway before seeing a hole, which made her get out.

After Michelle walked up the stairs, she saw a cutout of a bunny toy wearing green overalls and a matching-colored party hat holding cymbals. Michelle pressed the cutout's button. "I know when your birthday is... June 28th," it said before giggling.

Michelle giggled a bit. "Not even close, Bunzo Bunny," she said before walking away. "My birthday is in mid-September." Soon after, Michelle saw a platform in the distance. Michelle took a deep breath and exhaled. "Alright... let's do this," she said before walking forward.
