Chapter 51- Coming To Her Aid

I didn't know what to say.
I just nodded and quietly stepped back, excusing myself from Alpha Kael's presence without saying any word or even sparing him a glance.
My legs felt heavy… but somehow, they moved.
One step after another.
My heart… oh my heart… it was pounding like war drums inside me.
I could barely breathe. I didn't know if it was the fear or the thought of the punishment, or maybe both fighting for space inside my chest.
What punishment is he going to give me?
I asked myself over and over.
What is it going to be?
I couldn't stop thinking about it. I was terrified.
What if it's something that ends me? What if this is how I die… on my first day?
I felt my chest tighten more as the thoughts swirled like a dark storm inside my head.
Tears started falling from my eyes, and I didn't even try to stop them.
They were just dropping non stop.
And they made it so hard to see where I was even walking.
