I snapped back to reality so fast I thought my soul left my body for a second.


I couldn't even explain the shame that rushed over me like a crashing wave. What the actual hell just came over me?


Screw me for staring that hard. I mean—how long was I standing there like that? Long enough for him to catch me red-handed, eyes glued to his bare… everything.


I wanted to scream into a pillow or disappear through the floor.


My hand flew to my mouth in horror, my head immediately bowing in deep, deep shame.


"I-I am… I'm s-s-so sorry, my Alpha," I stammered, barely able to look in his direction. My words tangled as my heart beat so loud. 


"I didn't mean to—I swear—I just came to ask what kind of drink you wanted and how… how you'd like me to serve it."


I tried to explain, each word falling out with more panic than the last.
