When Caius' eyes refocused, he saw Athenodora's Red eyes were open and looking at him. Their lips had separated in the seconds he spent dwelling on the taste he just enjoyed and she was smiling at him with a knowing look and as though she was waiting for an assessment.
"I-I don't know what to say," he said.
Athenodora chuckled.
"Fair enough," she said and then leaned in close to latch her mouth onto the bite mark she had made in his neck, sucking his blood into her mouth to be savored again.
Athenodora sucked for a full minute with Caius just lying there, still processing what he had just experienced. When she pulled back up, with her clawed hands on his chest, she let out a deep moan.
"Whatever you felt, just know you taste so much better."
"That's a lie," Caius said immediately, "It's not only a lie, it's also impossible."
Athenodora shook her head with a smirk,
"Oh, child. You're being fooled by energy. By power. Take all that away and you're so much better."
