Chapter 22 - Chapter 22 – The Truth Behind the Storm

Diana paced back and forth at the edge of the training cliffs, her expression tense. The wind howled around her, but her mind was louder—echoing with the memory of Inavy's crimson lightning and the strange voice he said he heard. Something was deeply wrong.

Unable to shake the unease, she activated her communicator crystal and whispered:

Diana (whispering):"Master Ray… I need to speak with you. It's about Inavy."

Moments later, a portal shimmered into existence, and Ray Stormbreak stepped out—calm, tall, and unreadable as always.

Ray:"You're worried."

Diana:"He said his power was… talking to him. And those lightning bolts—Ray, they weren't normal. What's happening to him?"

Ray remained silent for a moment, then let out a slow sigh.

Ray:"Diana… have you ever wondered why no one else can lift his sword?"

Diana (frowning):"It's… too heavy. No one can even move it."

Ray:"Exactly. That sword isn't meant for just anyone. Only Inavy can wield it. Lorien knows the truth… but it's time you do too."

He paused, then looked Diana straight in the eyes.

Ray:"Inavy is not my biological son."

Diana froze.

Diana:"What…?"

Ray:"He is the son of my sister, Mary, and a man who was once my closest friend—King Julius. Inavy is the heir to a powerful and ancient kingdom known as Nionderland. And more than that… he carries a power that is the origin of everything."

Diana (eyes wide):"You mean—Chaos? That's just a myth. A fairy tale to scare children."

Ray (with a half-smile):"Just like Divine Light was considered a myth. Yet here we are—with Lorien and Darius using it freely."

Diana:"Darius doesn't just use Divine Light. He controls space as well."

Ray (nodding):"Exactly. The truth is… Inavy, Darius, Lorien, even Kelvin—they were all born with powers the world once believed to be legends."

Ray took a deep breath, then continued:

Ray:"Inavy holds a being inside him—an ancient warrior named Nion. A forgotten figure who once walked this world and founded Nionderland. From what we've uncovered, Inavy is his descendant… and more than that, he was chosen."

Diana (still shocked):"Chosen? Chosen for what?"

Ray:"To defeat Tyrus."

A long silence followed. Diana's heart pounded in her chest. The puzzle pieces began to fall into place.

Diana (quietly):"So… that voice… that's why he asked if we heard it too. He wasn't hallucinating."

Ray:"No. That was Nion speaking to him. The power inside him… it's awakening. But the seal is still in place. That's why only a fraction is leaking out."

He placed a hand on Diana's shoulder, his expression softer now.

Ray:"To the world, Inavy is my son. And to me… he is. He's more than blood. He's a gift—a divine reward I never expected."

Ray (firmly):"But this truth… must remain hidden. Only you and Lorien know now. And I trust you both. Please… protect this secret with your life. For Inavy's sake… and for the world's."

Diana closed her eyes and nodded slowly, heart still racing, but voice steady.

Diana:"I swear. I'll protect him. I won't let anyone know."

As the wind swept through the mountaintop, the secret of Inavy's origin remained hidden—locked between the few who truly understood the weight of the storm he carried.
