On the other side, Jean Grey, Ororo Munroe (Storm), and Tabitha Smith (Boom-Boom) from the X-Men approached a tall building.

"We're finally here. I didn't expect there to be such a massive building in Hell's Kitchen. I didn't even notice it the last time I came," Boom-Boom sighed as she looked up at the towering structure before them.

Her eyes sparkled with curiosity and excitement, as if she could already feel the battle on the horizon.

Storm, however, didn't share her lighthearted mood.

She frowned and warned seriously, "Don't let your guard down. This is the Fisk Building—one of the most vital strongholds of the Lord of Hell. We need to be extremely careful."

Jean remained silent, quietly examining the structure as if searching for something.

There was a deep intensity in her gaze, a look that suggested she could see through every inch of the building's interior.

Just as Storm and the others began preparing their abilities to assault the structure, a surge of red energy blasted toward them.

The three immediately scattered, their instincts kicking in as they looked up to identify the source of the attack.

Descending slowly from the sky was Wanda Maximoff.

Wanda stared at the three women. She had already done her research when she learned the X-Men were planning to strike Hell's Kitchen. She knew who they were and what they could do—and she had already formed her counterstrategy.

"This is going to be tricky," Wanda thought to herself.

Boom-Boom was dangerous, but relatively easier to handle. Her mutant ability, explosive energy generation, was straightforward—destructive but predictable.

Storm, with her command over weather—lightning, thunder, torrential rain—would be more difficult. Still manageable.

But the true threat, the one that made Wanda tense up, was the red-haired woman in front of her—Jean Grey.

Wanda still remembered what Alex Ray had told her: "If you see a girl with red hair, don't provoke her. If you do, you might not survive."

At the time, Wanda hadn't understood the warning. But now, standing face-to-face with Jean and sensing the unstable energy of the Phoenix Force within her, she understood.

Wanda took a deep breath and centered herself.

It wouldn't be easy to take on three X-Men—but she refused to let anyone destroy what Alex Ray had worked so hard to protect.

Slowly, she advanced toward them, radiating waves of chaos magic with every step.

Her gaze locked onto Jean, searching for any sign of vulnerability.

But Jean remained unfazed—calm, composed, and completely unreadable.

Storm and Boom-Boom could feel Wanda's power surging and readied themselves for battle.

"You must be Wanda. You're a mutant too. Why are we fighting each other?" Storm asked, her tone attempting to ease the tension.

Jean's eyes held a glimmer of hope. She looked at Wanda as though she saw a potential ally—perhaps even a friend.

But Wanda's face hardened. Her eyes glowed a fiery red. "You're the ones attacking us. What made you think I'd ever join you?"

Her words were sharp, defiant, and laced with venom.

Jean frowned slightly. She knew convincing Wanda wouldn't be easy.

Still, she held onto a flicker of hope. Wanda's power was immense—if she could be brought to the X-Mansion, she'd be an unmatched force for good.

But in the next instant, Wanda made her decision.

Her eyes flared crimson, and torrents of chaos magic erupted from her body like a tidal wave. A red aura enveloped her completely.

Then she struck—unleashing a brutal offensive against Jean, Storm, and Boom-Boom.

Storm didn't back down. Her eyes turned white, and she summoned a ferocious storm overhead.

The sky darkened instantly. Thunder cracked and lightning danced, forming a web of electricity that lashed out at Wanda.

Jean countered with her telekinesis, directing it with surgical precision to bind Wanda's movements, attempting to restrict her spellcasting.

Boom-Boom charged her powers in the background, preparing for a decisive strike.

The sky roared with thunder and chaos.

High above, Alex Ray sensed the sudden change in the weather. Storm's handiwork, clearly. Using his Observation Haki, he scanned the battlefield and found Wanda locked in a three-on-one brawl.

His chest tightened with worry.

Though Wanda had a combat boost from her Family Knight title—granting her 20% enhanced power—he still feared she wouldn't last against Jean and the Phoenix Force.

"Damn it, why would Charles Xavier bring such an unstable mutant into this? Isn't he worried she'll lose control?" Alex thought bitterly.

He knew better than most how volatile Jean's powers could become. If she lost control, the results would be catastrophic.

Carol Danvers noticed his distraction and sneered. "Worried about your girlfriend? Thinking of bailing her out? Sorry—no time for that."

With that, she dove at him again, fists glowing with photonic energy.

"I could help her anytime I want. Don't get cocky," Alex snapped, unleashing a brutal counterattack that forced Carol on the defensive.

"She doesn't need me right now. Someone's already on the way. Besides, if this fight drags on, I'll be the one footing the repair bill," he muttered to himself.

Back on the battlefield, Wanda was starting to falter.

Despite her immense magical prowess, facing off against three seasoned mutants was taking its toll.

Jean's expression grew conflicted. She didn't want to hurt Wanda. Deep down, she hoped to win her over. After all, they were all mutants. They should be allies, not enemies.

"Surrender, Wanda," Jean urged, her voice filled with empathy. "We don't want to hurt you."

Wanda's lips were bloodied. Her clothes were tattered. Yet her eyes burned with defiance.

She said nothing—but her gaze made her meaning clear: "I will not fall."

Storm added, "You can't win alone, Wanda. Just stop."

Her voice carried a mix of pity and frustration.

Suddenly, a deafening roar echoed through the air.

From above, a storm of steel shards came hurtling down toward the X-Men.

"Who said she's alone?" came a sharp female voice.

Everyone turned in unison—and saw a woman with vibrant green hair descending from the sky.

"Wanda, how'd you end up in this state?" she said with a smirk.

Wanda glanced up, a faint smile breaking through her fatigue. "Call me 'sis,' Lorna."

The green-haired woman was Lorna Dane—Polaris. Wanda's half-sister and a master of magnetism.

Wanda didn't question her sudden arrival.

Polaris helped her to her feet, scowling slightly. "We're not even from the same mother. Stop calling me your sister."

"Let's finish them off first," she added, turning to face the X-Men trio with a serious expression, brushing aside the awkwardness of familial titles.

Wanda simply grinned and said nothing.

Then she turned her eyes back to Storm, Jean, and Boom-Boom—her gaze now filled with renewed strength and resolve.

"…Now we're even."
