After understanding how the system worked, the much-anticipated lottery session finally began.
"Let me go first—come on, let me try my luck!" Alex Ray rubbed his hands together with anticipation.
He watched as the pointer on the lottery wheel spun around several times before gradually slowing down and finally stopping on: "Thank You for Your Patronage."
"Congratulations, host. Thank you for your patronage," the system chimed cheerfully.
Alex's face fell flat at the message.
"Would the host like to continue drawing?" the system prompted.
"Wait a second," Alex replied. He went to wash his hands, changed into red clothes, opened a picture of the God of Wealth on his phone, and offered a small prayer.
Then, brimming with newfound confidence, he shouted at the system in his mind, "Give me ten consecutive draws!"
"Congratulations, host. You've obtained the original stockings of Natasha Romanoff."
"Congratulations, host. Thank you for your patronage."
"Congratulations…"
Four consecutive "thank you" messages along with the Black Widow's original stockings left Alex's face green with disbelief.
"Congratulations, host. You have obtained Senzu Beans."
"Congratulations, host. You have drawn the Eternal Spirit Sword."
"Congratulations, host. You have acquired the character template card for Admiral Fujitora ."
As the system concluded the draw, Alex burst out laughing. Even though the win rate was only about 50%, the prizes were undeniably impressive.
Alex pulled out the items granted by the system. Holding Natasha's original stockings up to the light, he looked blankly at them.
"If you're really trying to flirt, just send her over directly," Alex muttered, tossing the stockings aside in disgust. "If you're giving me a gift, at least make it Nico Robin's… or the Pirate Empress's."
He took a deep breath. Those ridiculous appetizers were behind him—now it was time for the main course.
First, he examined the Senzu Beans. The glass bottle contained five beans. He stashed them away. The Senzu Beans from Dragon Ball were undeniably powerful—capable of fully healing a person as long as they still had a breath of life. While Alex had a self-healing factor and didn't need them personally, he thought they could be useful on others. Maybe he'd give one to Deadpool—see if it could finally fix that hideous face.
Next was the Eternal Spirit Sword. From Cooking Master Boy, one of the Eight Legendary Cooking Tools. At first glance, it looked like an ordinary kitchen knife, but the dragon-carved hilt hinted at its true nature: the ability to restore the freshness of any ingredient, no matter how old or degraded.
Alex nodded in appreciation. While it wasn't useful for combat, having a high-grade kitchen knife was still a win in his book.
Finally, there was the template card for Admiral Fujitora from One Piece. One of the strongest characters in that universe, Fujitora's Gravity-Gravity Fruit was absurdly powerful.
"System, fuse the Fujitora template for me," Alex commanded immediately.
Ding! "The host cannot fuse this template. The card is designated for family members only," the system responded.
Alex's face twitched. So he went through all that effort, and the prize wasn't even for him?
"Don't worry. Once you give the template to a family member, you will also be synchronized with their abilities," the system clarified.
Realization dawned. "Ah, so it's a shared power system. That's not bad."
Prompt received: Would the host like to use the template card?
"Use it," Alex confirmed.
Searching for family member with the highest compatibility… Match found. Family member: Kane. Compatibility: 90%. Would the host like to assign the Fujitora template card to Kane?
"What does compatibility affect?" Alex asked, eyeing the new terminology.
"The higher the match rate, the higher the recipient's growth ceiling and the faster their strength increases. A lower match rate could result in minimal improvement or even fusion failure."
"Then go ahead and assign it." Alex imagined an alternate-universe Fujitora in their squad. With the looming conflicts, backup was going to be more important than ever. Without help from the system, people like John Wick would eventually fall behind.
Alex didn't mind—it was just how things worked. But others might start feeling like burdens, and that could drive a wedge between them.
Congratulations. Template successfully applied. Kane has integrated the Fujitora template. Host synchronization complete.
Alex closed his eyes and took a moment to sense the new power coursing through him.
"Good… I can use 5x gravity. My Observation Haki is still rough though—needs more training," he murmured, eyes opening.
"System, show me my panel," he requested.

[Exclusive Skills: None]
The new system panel now included a Friendship Board, allowing Alex to monitor individual favorability ratings in real time.
The Skills Panel had also been streamlined, removing mundane skills and highlighting combat-critical abilities.
A Talent Panel was added too—currently sparse with only two listed talents. Seeing that, Alex silently vowed to unlock more.
He was especially curious about the exclusive skill slot.
As if reading his thoughts, the system said, "Exclusive skills unlock when the host has ten family members. Keep up the good work, host."
Meanwhile…
At a newly furnished apartment, Kane and his daughter were organizing their things when a sudden beam of light shot out of nowhere, piercing Kane's forehead. He froze instantly.
"Dad? Dad, what's wrong?" his daughter asked, grabbing his hand in panic.
A moment later, Kane slowly opened his eyes. Though his physical sight hadn't returned, his Observation Haki—enhanced by the Fujitora template—let him sense everything around him in incredible detail.
The sudden influx of power left Kane stunned. He instinctively knew this change came from Alex.
In that moment, Alex became even more mysterious in Kane's eyes. The man hadn't just saved his daughter—he'd now granted him an unfathomable power.
To Kane, Alex Ray was as important as his own child.
"I'm fine, sweetheart. Don't cry. It's my fault for scaring you," Kane said, pulling her close in a comforting embrace.
