Shin then hesitates while opening his eyes. Nothing but darkness surrounds him. He gets onto his knees as he stares blankly into the abyss.
Tears stream down his cheeks as he curls himself up and let's out an inhuman wail.
Shin feels a hand on his shoulder but pushes it away.
"leave me alone. I don't want you near me demon God," Shin managed in between his snorts.
The demon God then pulled back his hand as Shin curled himself up once more and continued crying.
The demon God then sat right next to him and didn't say a word. He sat with Shin as he cried for what seemed to be hours.
The demon God stares at the broken boy.
"I'm sorry I had to make you go through that. It was uncalled for of me, even though it was necessary."
Shin didn't not respond as he began to fall silent. The demon God then slowly placed his hand on Shin's back.
"I don't blame you for reacting the way you did. I don't know what I would do if Satel died and the entire demon race as well."
The demon God then glanced at Shin. He was still curled up but was now silent.
The demon God let out a little chuckle as he ran his hand across Shin's back to comfort him.
"Everyone makes mistakes Shin, even Gods," the demon God sighed heavily.
Shin turned to glance at the demon God. Their eyes met. The demon God could see the storm of rage in Shin's eyes.
It's like a mirror into my own soul. Who knew we share the same rage.
The demon God shot Shin a smile but he didn't return it.
"Everyone has a mistake they are ashamed off and do not want to confront. That's alright if you don't want to grow and learn from it."
The demon God continued, " I advise you to learn from your past mistakes and become better and don't turn out like me."
The demon God stood up and Shin followed suit. He stood directly infront of Shin placed his forehead directly onto Shin's forehead.
Vestages of the other demon king's appeared around them and encased them in a circle.
The demon God murmured," blessed are those who accept their mistakes. So become better then you were before."
With those words the void began to fade away.
"Oh, and remember, don't turn out like me. Demon king Shin'en."
With those last words the void completely faded away and Shin was back at the alter.
"Even God's make mistakes huh? I wonder what yours was," Shin chuckled to himself.
It was a dry, lifeless chuckle. He got up and walked out the room, meeting up with the others.
"Shin your back. That means you got the blessing," Satel embrace him.
Both the elder and Bael gave Shin a nod of approval as they stepped out of the temple and headed to the teleportation circle.
Shin couldn't shake of the demon God's words, "don't turn out like me."
In a flash of light they teleported away, leaving the temple empty once more.
