Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Spark of Fate

It was just another normal afternoon in a quiet part of Seoul. The sun was shining gently in the sky, and everything seemed peaceful. A 19-year-old boy named Jin Tae-hyun was walking home with his two little sisters, *Eun-bi (10) and *Soo-ah (7). They had just bought some groceries and snacks from the store. Life had been hard for Tae-hyun ever since their parents died in a car accident two years ago. But he never caused trouble, stayed out of fights, and focused on taking care of his sisters.

As they reached a street corner, two fancy black cars drove past them. Tae-hyun looked at the first car and noticed a well-dressed man inside. He looked rich and important. Suddenly, out of nowhere, loud gunshots filled the air.

Four motorbikes and a van rushed onto the street. Nine masked men with guns began shooting at the black cars. The bodyguards in the front car were hit instantly and collapsed. People on the street screamed and ran in panic.

Tae-hyun didn't think twice. He quickly grabbed his sisters' hands and pulled them into a nearby store. He found a staircase to the basement and helped them down. "Stay here and be quiet. I'll come back," he told them, closing the door behind him.

One gangster noticed Tae-hyun. He ran after him with a gun. Tae-hyun ran fast, but the gangster aimed and tried to shoot—click. The gun was out of bullets. Tae-hyun took the chance. He jumped forward, blocked the man's arm, and kicked him hard in the neck. The gangster fell to the ground, unable to breathe.

Two of the guards thought Tae-hyun was one of the attackers and started shooting at him. Tae-hyun dodged the bullets and ran toward the second car. He grabbed a shotgun from a fallen guard and fired five times. Four gangsters were hit. His shooting was quick and accurate, shocking even the car's driver.

But the fight wasn't over yet. Another car arrived quickly, and three more gangsters jumped out and started shooting. The driver was hit in the leg and arm. Tae-hyun got shot four times—once in the shoulder, the leg, his side, and his left arm.

Even though he was bleeding badly, Tae-hyun didn't give up. He forced himself to stand, punched one gangster in the nose, then hit his neck, and finally landed a strong blow to his stomach. The man dropped to the ground, unconscious.

Suddenly, police sirens were heard in the distance. The gangsters ran away. The police arrived and rushed to help the wounded. Tae-hyun collapsed from his injuries.

A security camera above the shop had recorded the entire fight. No one could clearly see his face—it was hidden in shadows and blood—but everyone saw how well he fought, how brave and skilled he was. People were amazed.

No one knew who he was. Not yet. But something had changed that day. Something had awakened inside him.
