Chapter 3 - Did I reincarnate?2

**Shortly after Aziz's birth, supernatural phenomena never seen before began to occur.**

The sky, once blue, suddenly took on a radiant silver hue; voices speaking in an indecipherable language and a strange, mysterious chant could be heard all around the world.

It didn't matter what any living being on the planet was doing at that moment—everyone, without exception, instinctively stopped to pay attention to this unusual event. It was as if something, or someone, that they couldn't identify had seized their attention without them even realizing it.

For ordinary people, this day would, without a doubt, be etched in their memories for the rest of their lives.

However, for the beings of power and authority in the world, it was different. Even though they didn't know the origin of the supernatural phenomenon, nor could they decipher the meaning of the voices or the eerie chant, they instinctively understood that, from that day on, the world would undergo drastic changes.

**While strange things were happening around the world, Aziz was going through something similar to an existential crisis.**

"So I really reincarnated?! I thought that was just a fantasy story," thought Aziz, feeling incredulous, yet already beginning to accept the situation he found himself in—not that he had much of a choice.

After all, like any young person living in the 21st century with access to the internet, he had come across the term *reincarnation*. Intrigued, he read and watched countless works on the subject. It was one of the few things that had ever truly piqued his interest in life.

"Come on, my baby, mommy's going to feed you," said the woman holding him in her arms.

Pulled from his thoughts by her voice, he looked at her and couldn't help but feel stunned once again.

**"This beautiful woman… is my mother?"**

At the very moment Aziz had this thought, he felt as if something had clicked inside him. Experiencing a new and strange—yet incredibly good—feeling, he silently swore to himself that he would cherish her, no matter what it cost.

As the woman brought her breast to his mouth, he began to suckle. After all, there is no better food for a newborn than a mother's milk.

Without even realizing it, Aziz soon fell asleep while being breastfed by his mother.

### **POV: Astrid**

"My baby is so cute," Astrid murmured softly, full of love and fascination, as she gazed at her sleeping son in her arms.

**"I was worried for nothing,"** Astrid thought, after watching her baby for a while, now feeling deeply relieved. As a loving mother, it was only natural for her to worry when her beloved baby was born without making a single sound—not even a cry.

She only truly relaxed after scanning her child completely with her senses and confirming that he was perfectly healthy.

Still lying in bed, she turned her head to the right and looked at the window, which was covered by beautiful, finely crafted curtains. She merely *wished* for them to open—and so they did. Gazing through the window, Astrid calmly observed the supernatural phenomena unfolding outside.

She, too, heard the voices and the mysterious chant. However, unlike everyone else in the world, she knew that the origin of that phenomenon was the very baby resting in her arms: her beloved son.

She was the only one who truly understood—though not the exact meaning of the words, she could sense the feeling the voices and the chant were trying to convey. It was as if they were announcing the birth of something never before seen. Something born to rise above everything and everyone. A being born to rule. A being who should never bow to anything or anyone. A supreme being.

**"My baby truly is something else,"** Astrid thought, feeling an immense pride for her beloved child.

"The young master is truly adorable, my lady," said a female voice beside Astrid.

Snapped out of her thoughts of admiration, she turned her attention toward the source of the voice.

Isis, her maid—against Astrid's wishes—and long-time friend.

Isis was a truly beautiful woman, with shining blonde hair, eyes as golden as the sun, and the curvaceous body of a mature woman.

"Isis, did you have any trouble activating the concealment rune?" Astrid asked the newly arrived woman.

"No, my lady. Everything went as you instructed," Isis replied calmly, her affectionate gaze fixed on the young master.

"How many times do I have to tell you to call me by my name, Isis?" Astrid said with a slightly annoyed tone.

"Only when you *order* me to, my lady," Isis replied in a playful tone.

Hearing that, Astrid became even more annoyed at her long-time friend's refusal to call her by name.

Noticing that Astrid was truly getting irritated, Isis quickly changed the subject and asked an important question:

"What will the young master's name be, my lady?" Isis asked, shifting the topic.

Turning her attention back to her baby, Astrid fell into deep contemplation over what name she would give her son.

"What name should I give to my beloved...?" Astrid murmured softly, lost in thought.
