A month later January 1st, 2025.
We had moved camp to another location since we didn't know if another one of those monstrosities would come around again. There was this camp nearby and the group was hostile. We knew we had to take care of it as soon as possible. It was nightfall and we took action on this camp. It wasn't far from us, and it didn't take long for us to arrive. As we snuck up on this camp, there were only four people in it. To make things even better they were all asleep. We took action and they were disposed of. We had to move the bodies to a different area as we didn't want the blood to attract zombies. They had great loot; we took it and went back to camp. One week later it was January 7th, 2025. We went to look around for some more ammunition and food. There was a food market a few miles away from our camp. "Are you sure there is a food market a few miles away?" asked Ellis. "Yes, we're sure there is a market "said Damian. We will head there tomorrow, I said.
The next day January 8th, 2025.
We headed over to the food market. As we arrived there was this run-down bridge that had a river running underneath. But it wasn't water, it was a green goo-like substance. But it was bubbling, almost like acid or toxic waste. I threw a stick in the river, and it disintegrated almost instantly. We knew this was extremely dangerous. We tried to come up with a plan, but there were eyes and a mouth glowing a vibrant almost neon green. This was very alarming and to make matters worse we couldn't see what this strange thing was, as it was pitch black under the bridge. Another thing that was strange, was that there was this tent under the bridge. We looked away from the creature for a second and the next thing you know was that it was gone.
We decided to check this tent out. It seemed to be used still. There was food, water, ammo, and guns in the tent. Thankfully it was on the bank of the intoxicated river. We decided to check it out, nobody was in there. We had heard singing from a part of the river. So, we decided to go check it out. There was this girl in the river. She was in a part of the river that wasn't intoxicated. I had walked up to her with my gun as I didn't know if she was infected. She screamed " Ahhh don't shoot' she said. "I'm not infected". "I've been living here alone, and I've been trying to find somebody that would let me in their group". What is your name? I said as I lowered my gun. "My name is Sophia". Sophia, would you like to join our group I said. "Yes, I would love to," she said. I turned back to my group and signaled them to come over here. "Sophia, is it?" said Damian. "Yes, it is". "Nice to meet you," said Damian. Guys this is our new recruit I said.
