Riveria didn't wait for Ikelos's thugs to make the first move. She lifted her staff high, her voice cutting through the air with sharp, practiced clarity.

"Winds of the ancient forest, veil my spirit.

Silence the whisper, shatter the illusion,

and let no foreign will trespass within my heart.

Alf Seidr: Mind Veil."

A soft green light exploded outward like a blooming flower, spreading in a dome over Damien, Ais, and herself. The moment it touched their skin, they felt it — a cool, clearing rush in the mind, like waking up from a fever dream. Damien blinked hard, recognizing instantly what the spell countered.

"That's for Phobetor Daedalus," Riveria said, lowering her staff and narrowing her eyes toward the enemy line. "Try it again, Dix. I dare you."

Dix flinched behind Ikelos, remembering how badly it went last time… and this time, the trap wouldn't work.

The battle erupted instantly.

The wolves sprang forward first, snarling, foam and shadow pouring from their jaws as they crashed into the enemy front line. Ikelos's adventurers braced — then screamed as the pack tore into them. Behind the wolves, the minotaurs thundered forth, each of their heavy steps cracking the stone floor. The three enormous beasts lowered their heads and rammed into the second line with earth-shaking force, tossing armored bodies like dolls.

The two infant dragons raced overhead, shadows giving them unnatural speed. They swooped low, slashing with their growing talons and breathing small but vicious bursts of black flame that sent men scattering.

Meanwhile, the Silverback stayed exactly where he always did — glued to Riveria, his massive body forming a living fortress around her. But that didn't mean he was idle. With one arm he scooped up a chunk of rubble the size of a small anvil, spun once, and hurled it with terrifying precision. An Ikelos spearman went flying backward as the stone slammed into his chest.

Damien, Ais, and Igris launched themselves deep into the chaos.

Ais moved like a blade of golden wind beside Damien, her light steps silent, her presence sharp and lethal. Damien ducked under a blade aimed at her back, only for Ais to pivot and cover his blind spot in return. Their teamwork was seamless, each trusting the other without question.

Igris, towering in black armor, carved a path with brutal efficiency. He blocked a rain of arrows with one sweep of his shield, then cleaved through three adventurers in a single swing of his greatsword. Every movement was precise, dignified, and terrifying.

Damien blocked two blows at once — one spear, one sword — twisting between them before driving a dagger under the swordsman's arm and kicking the spearman in the chest hard enough to shatter ribs.

Ais was already beside him, cutting down two more before they could flank him.

"Don't stray," she said flatly.

Damien smirked. "Wouldn't dream of it, princess."

"Focus," she hissed, but the faintest hint of pink touched her cheeks as she pivoted to stab another attacker.

Further back, Riveria raised her staff high again, magic circles blooming in layers behind her like enormous, glowing flower petals.

"Forte Edea."

Wind roared down the corridor, blasting dozens of enemies off their feet. Those who remained standing staggered just in time for Riveria to follow up.

"Liarte Alfeim."

Bursting light-arrows rained down like a storm, punching through armor and shields with uncanny precision. The Ikelos Familia found themselves pinned between a slaughterhouse of shadows and a bombardment of high-class magic.

Still, they pushed forward, desperate and screaming, driven by their god's orders. The clash was brutal, chaotic, the corridor overflowing with dust, steel, blood, magic, and shadow.

Damien parried another blow, spinning into Igris's shadow for protection before lunging back out to slash the attacker across the neck. Ais leapt over a fallen body, cutting down two more.

"I thought they were supposed to run from you," Damien said, panting lightly as he dispatched another foe.

"Usually," Ais replied.

"Guess they didn't get the memo."

Riveria's voice boomed above them. "Incoming on your right!"

Igris moved instantly, intercepting a barrage of throwing knives meant for Ais and Damien. The blades clattered harmlessly against his armor.

Dix snarled from the back, "I'll kill him this time! I'll—"

"Then come do it," Damien barked, kicking an enemy aside as he glared straight at Dix.

Dix froze.

Ais was right next to Damien. Damien was fighting side-by-side with the Shadow Knight. It wasn't possible. His breath hitched, his fingers trembling. 'No… no, no, NO—'

Then everything got worse.

The boulder behind them detonated, stone fragments flying like shrapnel. Dust billowed—then from the crater, several silhouettes stepped out.

Adventurers.

Not just any adventurers.

When Dix and Ikelos saw who it was, the blood drained from their faces entirely.

Loki Familia. The elites who'd been training on the upper floors.

"Oh? I don't see a Goliath here! HAHA!" Gareth boomed, resting his massive axe on his shoulder with a grin. "But I do see our lasses clashing with a bunch o' rookies!"

Finn stepped forward, small yet radiating command."Well… this is a peculiar situation. I don't know why Riveria and Ais are fighting that Familia… but it matters not."His eyes sharpened."Everyone—support Riveria and Ais!"

The battlefield erupted.

Gareth charged first, laughing heartily as his axe carved through three Ikelos adventurers at once, sending them flying like dolls.

"Haha! Yer bones are softer than dungeon slimes! Come on! Give me SOMETHING!"

Tione blitzed into the fray next to him, her dual punches smashing helmets and ribs with explosive bursts of impact.

Tiona followed—no, she exploded into the battle."WOOOOO!!! LET'S GOOOO!!"

She flipping-kicked one adventurer into another, then launched herself over a pile of rubble right next to Damien.

Her eyes sparkled. Cheeks flushed."Damien—Damien!! This is AMAZING!! Fighting next to you—this is the BEST MOMENT OF MY LIFE!"

Damien sliced down an Ikelos swordsman, ducked under another blade, and smiled at her.

"I'm glad. I like fighting with you too."

Tiona squealed mid-battle and punched a man through a wall.

A deep slash cut across the ground as Bete appeared behind her.

"Tch… don't get distracted, you idiots—"

A shadow moved.

A wolf—huge, pitch-black—lunged from Damien's formation, ripping into an Ikelos spearman and tossing him aside.

Bete froze mid-kick.

"…Why the hell is a monster fighting with you?"His tail stiffened in sheer disbelief.

Damien didn't bother explaining; too many enemies. Instead, he commanded sharply:

"Igris—left flank!"

The Shadow Knight surged forward, dark armor humming, sword cleaving through two adventurers like they were paper.

Ais was already deep in the line ahead—rapid slashes, golden hair trailing like an afterimage.

Their coordination was terrifying.

Dix realized—'He's keeping up with Ais…! No—he's matching her pace!'

He tried to retreat.

Too late.

Ais and Damien landed in front of him simultaneously.

Her eyes narrowed."Found you."

"C-calm down—wait—WAIT—"

Ais punched him in the face so hard he flipped backward into a wall.

Damien appeared above him, dagger in hand.

Dix screamed, using his curse Phobetor Daedalus

But Riveria's spell held firm.

Ais stomped his chest, pinning him.

"Your tricks won't work this time."

Damien's dagger flashed.

One clean strike.

Slice.

Dix's head rolled across the stone floor.

Silence followed.

Ais dusted her hands. Damien wiped his blade.

Then

"Damien!! Look look look!! I caught hiiim!!"

Tiona came rushing in, beaming like a child, dragging the unconscious Ikelos behind her like a sack of potatoes.

Gareth whistled."Didn't know ye were this ruthless, lad."

Damien shrugged. "Only to my enemies."

Tiona leaned into him, smiling brightly."You were amazing. Seriously."

Ais crossed her arms and tilted her head at the limp god.

"…Can we kill him?"

"No." Riveria walked over immediately. "Only gods can deal with god matters. Do not provoke the divine laws, Ais."

Ais clicked her tongue but didn't argue.

Finn Looked at Riveria and said "Any explanation to what the hell is going on? People from Floor 18 said that a Black Goliath was here...All we found was...Well this..."

Riveria sighed and said "Long story...I shall tell you on the way back...For now...I got say thank....Perfect timing"

Around them, the Ikelos Familia lay defeated—crushed, scattered, broken. The battlefield was quiet except for the fading shadows returning to Damien's feet.

The fight was over.
