[Rosie's POV]
Damien furrows his brows at me, stunned, and almost turns his eyes but I grab his collar, not minding the gun, not minding how bloody he looks.
My hands dragged him inside while I used my foot to slam the door, panting heavily like I had narrowly escaped danger or was looking at one.
"What was that?" He whispered, his eyes searching for mine and I offered a faint smile.
That gun muzzle was now on the crook of my neck, the metal sends shivers running down my spine.
"You took me away from here... can't I least...well can't..."
What am I saying? I don't even understand myself.
He lowered the gun, crossed his arms and said;
"Speak up"
"I..."
I can't speak when there's a loud bang on the door. It's the kids, wanting to break in and this time, Damien had turned around to take a look.
I squeezed myself to the door, gasping heavily as I was trapped between him and the door now.
