Chapter 5 - Ch-5 :The Ties That Pull (continue)

As all of this was happening, whispers began to stir around the classroom. Students leaned in, gossiping in hushed tones — but not quiet enough. So-yeon could hear them clearly, every word sharp in her ears.

The teacher clapped once and spoke, "Okay, so you all are in a group now. No more changes. Except for this group, the rest of you may choose your own."

The moment the teacher stepped out of the classroom, the murmurs grew louder. So-yeon's jaw clenched. She could feel eyes on her — watching, judging, speculating.

Without saying a word, she turned and looked directly at Ryu.

So-yeon said, "You are really insane."

She looked at Ryu with judging eyes, her expression sharp and

As the second class began, the teacher walked in and started teaching.

But So-yeon was still embarrassed about what had happened.

Her mind couldn't focus — flashes of the moment, the whispers, and Ryu's smirk kept coming back.

And then there were the mean girls.

What were they going to do with her now? Gossip? Humiliate her?

She was caught in a mix of emotions — confusion, embarrassment, and a strange heaviness

During the break, we were sitting and eating lunch together — Yuna, Taemin, Joon, and me.

It was peaceful and calm… but my mind wasn't.

I was still thinking — what's going to happen next? What are those girls planning?

As I sat there, lost in thought, Yuna suddenly looked at me and asked,

"What are you thinking, So-yeon?"

I quickly replied,

"No, no… it's nothing."

But Yuna wasn't convinced.

She kept looking at me, quietly trying to read my face — like she knew there was more

As we were about to leave the cafeteria, laughter and chatter filled the air — but I wasn't paying attention.

Then suddenly, one of the mean girls walked straight toward us… and "accidentally" spilled an entire bottle of water on so-yeon .

The cold splash hit her clothes, soaking her instantly.

"Oh, sorry, sorry! I didn't mean it," she said, her voice dripping with fake concern.

But the sparkle in her eyes, the smirk tugging at her lips — they told the truth.

Inside, she was enjoying every second of my humiliation.

I sat there frozen, dripping, my fists clenched on the wet floor.

Before so-yeon could say anything, Yuna stood up.

Without hesitation, she took her juice and poured it all over the girl's front.

The cafeteria fell silent.

"Oh, sorry, sorry," Yuna said, mimicking the girl's tone with a sugar-sweet smile.

Then she leaned in slightly and whispered,

"I mean it."

Gasps echoed. The mean girl stared in disbelief, her mouth slightly open, eyes wide.

Yuna ignored her completely and walked over to so-yeon .

She gently helped me up, brushing my arms, fixing my wet hair out of my face.

Then she turned back with a death stare sharper than any knife.

"If you dare to touch her again…"

Yuna's voice was low and dangerous.

"…be ready with your graveyard and last wish."

The girl flinched but said nothing.

And just like that, Yuna wrapped her arm around so yeon , and we walked out — heads held high, unbothered, and stronger than ever.
