Gwen and Amaya nodded, agreeing with Kai.
"I agree. It was self-defense. While I would have rather you follow my rules, I do understand why you killed him. However, did you need to, though?" Her expression shifted, and her calm demeanor became serious and calculating.
"What do you mean? Did you just want me to sit there and take his beating or something?" Now that Kai saw the change in her attitude, he too changed his demeanor.
"I'm sure that wouldn't have been a problem for you, considering your strength." She smirked
"And how strong do you think I am?"
"Strong enough."
Kai didn't like the way she was reading him right now. So he used Appraisal on her.
