Chapter 120 - Chapter 120: Sets Sail

Arima glanced around, checking carefully to make sure nothing had been left behind. Once satisfied, he activated Kamui and vanished.

An instant later, he realized he had reappeared in the depths of the ocean.

The moment Kamui opened, massive amounts of seawater, under crushing pressure, surged wildly into the Kamui space.

Within moments, towering waves crashed and roared, filling the entire dimension with a violent tide.

"Good thing I listened to Acier and kept the ship suspended," Arima thought with relief.

"Otherwise, with the force of that surge, the ship would've been torn apart."

He immediately activated his Rinnegan, casting Almighty Push to push the seawater away from his body.

But that only made the surrounding water's pressure bear down on him with terrifying weight.

Arima quickly shrank the range of Almighty Push to lessen the strain on himself, then used Kamui again to propel himself upward from the ocean floor.

As his body shot toward the surface, he turned his head, and finally saw the full size of Bonbori.

At that moment, he truly understood the meaning of "colossal Sea King"!

Even his True Several Thousand Hands technique wasn't as big as the size of this creature.

"This world is incredible…" he breathed.

On his way up, countless sea creatures swam past, many massive, some titanic, and even more of those so-called Sea Kings, each more awe-inspiring than the last.

No one knew how long it took, but Arima finally broke through the surface, leaping into the sky.

From high above, he looked down to see nothing but endless ocean stretching beyond the horizon. Not a single island lay within sight.

He then released both the seawater and the ship from Kamui space, dropping them onto the sea's surface.

Earlier, when the seawater had first flooded in, everyone inside the ship had panicked.

Many valuables they'd brought from the shinobi world hadn't yet been loaded onto the ship, and they scrambled to save them.

Just when they feared the worst, the watery entrance sealed shut again.

Unaware of Arima's struggle outside, they carried on inside, clueless.

Hours later, the passengers were suddenly blinded by a burst of light, they realized they had finally exited Kamui space and emerged into the outside world.

Looking up, the sun sat high overhead, midday. Its brilliance dazzled their eyes.

They gazed at the boundless blue sea, instinctively drawing in deep breaths of the fresh, salty air carried on the ocean wind.

Kushina, unable to contain her excitement, cheered.

"We finally made it out!"

Acier and his daughter Olga were also overcome, their emotions impossible to suppress.

For them, this was the first time in nearly two hundred years breathing such fresh air, this was the taste of freedom.

On the deck, Arima turned to Acier. "This should be the Calm Belt you spoke of, right?"

Acier noted the motionless sails and the utterly still water before nodding. "Yes. This is the Calm Belt, one of the most dangerous places in the entire sea."

Tsunade frowned. "Dangerous? How can a calm sea be worse than a storm?"

Acier explained, "As the name suggests, the Calm Belt has no wind and no currents.

Once a ship drifts in, it's completely stranded. Worse still, the waters here teem with Sea Kings. One wrong move and you're finished."

He added, "Most ships rely on sails, without wind, they're helpless. But our ship runs on electricity. With a full charge in the energy cells, we can sail nonstop for three days and nights."

As he spoke, Arima suddenly sensed danger approaching. He immediately activated his Byakugan and peered beneath the waves.

What he saw made his blood run cold, dozens of colossal Sea Kings were rushing toward the ship, ready to collide within moments.

In a flash, Arima body-flickered into the engine room and activated the propulsion system at maximum output.

The ship surged forward, cutting through the waves at incredible speed.

Kushina raced up to the lookout tower, staring wide-eyed at the distant horizon. She spread her arms and shouted with glee.

Natsuka, her playful spirit stirred, followed close behind.

From the lookout, her view stretched endlessly, and she felt her heart soar.

This sense of freedom, of being unbound, reminded her of her travels across the shinobi world with her brother, days she cherished more than any other.

The two girls looked at each other's silly expressions and burst into laughter.

The adults below watched their children's carefree joy and felt their own hearts ease. The alienation they'd felt in this strange new world began to fade.

But just as the ship pulled away at full throttle, gigantic Sea Kings erupted from the ocean behind them, crashing back down and sending monstrous waves surging in every direction.

At the same time, a whole pack of Sea Kings closed in, relentless in their pursuit.

For the first time, everyone on deck witnessed the terror of these creatures. Even Arima's True Several Thousand Hands Buddha couldn't match their immense bulk.

"Won't those waves capsize us!?" Naomi cried, fear in her voice. "Those giant fish are terrifying!"

Tsunade laughed boldly. "Don't jinx it! Mother, relax. You think a bunch of fish are stronger than us?"

Her hands blurred through seals, and a swirling vortex of water appeared in her right palm, condensing into a pressurized water spear.

With a sharp throw, she hurled it straight at the nearest Sea King.

The spear pierced its eye clean through its skull. Blood gushed like a waterfall, dyeing the sea crimson.

Nawaki gawked. "Sis, when did you learn such a powerful forbidden jutsu?"

Tsunade dusted her hands off. "Oh, nothing much. Just a little trick. Your brother-in-law's the amazing one, he taught me this."

Nawaki pouted, instantly jealous. "Then I wanna learn forbidden jutsu from brother-in-law too!"

Tsunade flicked him on the head. "Plenty of time for that! Don't forget, we've got our immortality necklaces."

Nawaki glanced at the wooden necklace around his neck, realizing she was right. Still, he couldn't help yearning to learn more.

As the siblings bantered, the swarm of Sea Kings caught the scent of blood and turned on their wounded kin, ripping it apart in a frenzied feeding frenzy.

Flesh and gore flew, the scene gruesome and savage.

That delay gave the ship the chance to escape, surging forward at full speed toward the open sea.

Once Arima had replenished the ship's energy cells, he returned to the deck.

Gathering everyone together, he declared, "From this moment, we truly set sail! …But first, we need a name for our ship."

Kushina piped up first: "How about 'Queen Kushina'? Or maybe the 'Red-Hair'? Or the 'Kushina'?"

Nawaki quickly objected. "Those sound terrible. Call it 'Nawaki' instead!"

Kushina shot back, "'Kushina' is way better than that!"

Natsuka suggested, "Why not the 'Hokage'?"

To her, nothing in the world was greater than her brother, so the name felt only natural.

Tsunade offered, "How about 'Senju'?"

At last, Mito, who had been quiet until now, let her matriarchal aura show and declared decisively. "Let's combine them, call it the 'Konoha Senju'!"

Everyone thought it over and agreed, it was perfect. Thus, the "Konoha Senju" was born, ready to embark on its own legendary journey.

With the name decided, Kushina turned to Arima and asked, "So, Arima, where are we heading first?"

From his cloak, Arima pulled out dozens of Log Poses of varying design and age, clearly collected over different eras.

He and Acier had scavenged them from the massive stomachs of Bonbori.

Studying their directions, he noted that the nearest one pointed toward Kano, in the West Blue.

Looking at everyone, he said, "According to these, we're currently in the West Blue.

The closest destination is Kano. That will be our first stop, to resupply, pick up some books, and then decide our next move."
