The white jeep zoomed off immediately after Malik alighted, leaving him with nothing but a black polythene bag. The Head Butler had given it to him as a gift from their Young Mistress. Malik didn't linger; it was almost nightfall, so he quickly walked back into his apartment and bolted the door behind him.
Malik lived in a single-room apartment which only contained a bed, his clothes, a small kitchen, and a bathroom adjacent to each other. This was the only apartment he could afford on his own, as he hated sharing things with others. There wouldn't be any privacy in that—and privacy was what Malik valued the most.
He poured the contents of the polythene bag on the bed, and the first thing he saw was bundles of cash—two full bundles of naira notes.
"This is..." The words hung in his throat as Malik's eyes drifted to the clothes neatly packed in a white nylon. It was a white shirt and black pants—the dress code for all law students at FUO.
But all of that was nothing compared to the last item on the bed. Malik grabbed the bottle that looked like Nutri Milk, and as he surveyed it, tears threatened to fall from his eyes.
"This is... C-rank Nutrient Fluid." Malik's body couldn't contain the shock as he stared at the bottle in his grip.
A Nutrient Fluid was an energy drink that helped build the body and heighten the senses. It was created by one of the most renowned scientists on Earth and greatly improved the body's internal system. This nutrient fluid was very costly and difficult to acquire—only the rich could afford it. Never in Malik's wildest dreams did he imagine he'd get something like this, and that thought alone caused tears to roll down his cheeks.
"Carita... You really are a benefactor," Malik said before uncapping the nutrient fluid and consuming everything at once. A burning sensation surged through his heart, and his mind felt extraordinarily clear.
Unbeknownst to Malik, the nutrient fluid was meant to be consumed three times—once every three days—but he had downed everything within a minute, and now, his eyes were yearning for more.
Unfortunately, where could he get another? Even if these bundles of cash could purchase one, where could he buy it? It couldn't just be purchased randomly.
Another thing Malik also knew about the nutrient fluid was that it helped players—it boosted their performance in the game.
With that thought, Malik quickly rushed to the bathroom and took a quick shower. He dried his body with a towel and put on only his boxers. He rearranged his bed before sitting on it.
With a smile on his face, he grabbed the VR helmet and placed it on his head before lying back on the bed.
"Login," he muttered, and a loud beeping sound echoed as the world around him changed.

...
"I'm back..." Malik felt incredibly calm as his eyes fluttered open. He was back at the spot where he'd logged out. His body felt energized and extraordinarily calm. It was a soothing feeling—one he hadn't fully adapted to yet.
"I should check on this loot first," Malik said as he called out his system interface and started pulling out all the loot he'd gotten from the Alpha Feral Horned Wolf.
He got five items from the Feral Horned Wolf Treasury and three items from the Feral Horned Wolf itself. He also received a shirt that belonged to the Alpha Feral Horned Wolf, making it a total of nine items. Additionally, he gained the core of the special elite monster, 1 free level, and 20 free stat points.
He first checked the five items. One was a shield—a blue shield—and when he used his appraisal skill... it wasn't working.
"What the heck? Why isn't my appraisal working?" He averted his gaze to the greatsword beside it—and it was the same. His appraisal didn't work on it.
'Seems like my level is too low to appraise these two items.' He mused as he turned to the third item, which looked more like a helmet—a blue one. The remaining two were forging materials, which Malik's appraisal also couldn't identify.
"The helmet and the shield would be suitable for an MT and a Guardian Knight respectively, while the greatsword would be perfect for a Berserker. If I can auction these, I'll earn a lot of money."
Malik wasn't upset that his appraisal skill didn't work. Instead, he felt elated—there was a high chance these items were of high grade. He quickly returned them to his system's storage space and then turned to the items dropped by the Alpha Feral Horned Wolf.
Out of the three items the Alpha Feral Horned Wolf dropped, two were similar—and looked more like gloves. Malik quickly used his appraisal skill on them.

"Holy hell..." Malik nearly cried out when he appraised the glove-like item. Although he didn't understand everything the system said, he knew that a Fine Gold equipment wasn't something trivial. He quickly put on the two gloves, which glowed brightly as they molded to his arms and fit perfectly—as if they'd always been there. Malik thought they had even disappeared, but when he checked his hands, they were completely black.
The next item Malik appraised was the blood stone he gained from the Alpha Feral Horned Wolf's loot.

Alpha Core: ???

That was the only information Malik could see, and he sighed in frustration. He was about to return it to his storage space when he suddenly felt his heart pounding, and his blood surged wildly. His hand moved instinctively as he placed the core in his mouth and swallowed it at once.

"Pure Spiritual Qi Points... The monster core gives pure Spiritual Qi Points..." Malik couldn't help but feel elated as a wave of energy surged through him. He suddenly thought about the special elite core the system had rewarded him. He quickly retrieved and consumed it too.
