As relaxed laughter echoed through the room, the teacher entered the class and shouted," alright you punks. I'll give you 5 seconds to sit back or else you'll need to write a 10 page essay about today's lesson. Anyone who speaks or disturbs the class will also get this punishment ".
Immediately every student paced to their seats and in just 2 seconds the classroom fell into silence. The teacher began the class while everyone started focussing on the board fearing the punishment of a 10 page essay. Their chemistry teacher John Anderson is a man with strict policies. Even their parents will be lifeless after a meeting with him.
He will scold them all without hesitation. As John continued the lesson only one student isn't properly focussed on the lesson. He is Damian Jones. He is the top scorer of this school and someone with clever and cautious mind.
Even the teacher John ignored this guy. But because of Damian being a big shot or anything. Contrary Damian is just an orphan who lives on scholarships. John ignored Damian because this guy always learns ahead of time and spends time in class either sleeping or doing anything he likes. Of course he won't disturb the harmony of classroom.
Damian is an oddball in every class. He learns everything quickly and gets full marks in every subject. He is also very good sports, that's why all teachers ignored his actions. Damian is bored and looked outside the window. Then he frowned and rubbed his eyes. He saw a timer in the sky.
He thought he is hallucinating first until it reached all zeros. Suddenly the ground beneath everyone shook. The sky thundered and a blue coloured window with text appeared in front of them like an rpg. Damian slapped himself thinking he might be sleeping and in a dream.
But the pain made him gulp. ' What is happening? Is the world ending? Or is it like god's wrath? '. Looking at the text window he has an absurd idea which he didn't want to believe.

' shit ', Damian cursed inside his head. He read about this thing. Some kind of twisted enjoyment of high dimensional beings looking at their survival or their world colliding with others and this becoming a game like rpg and humans becoming hunters dwelling into dungeons.

Damian cursed loudly," damn it ", his worst fear came true. This true is a precedent to apocalypse or something more complex. He gulped and saw the timer ticking. He immediately focussed on the issue at hand. Choosing skills. He needs to see which one has more potential and allows him to survive.
Wind's Grace, must be an acceleration type skill or something to do with wind magic. He ruled it out, he knew elemental or magic type skills costs too much mana. It's better to avoid them for now. Because his mana status is the lowest along his stats. While they're all in 9 or 10. His mana is only 6. It's better to avoid this one.
Stone skin. Better for defense and offense but it's weak when facing monsters out of caliber. Although it provides formidable defense and close combat ability he will definitely hit a dead end with this one. Melee and transformation skills has less potential out of all unless they're very high grade ones. If this is steel skin, then he may give it a thought. But stone skill will not be enough for him considering this is just the beginning.
Berserk, a double edged sword. Like a forced adrenaline this one may cause him to be weakened for sometime after use leaving him extremely vulnerable. He can't afford this one.
Thought acceleration, a good skill for speeding his thinking. Although useful is mostly an auxiliary one. If it isn't for his survival chances he will definitely choose this one.
Lastly, the mysterious Astral Alchemy. An oddball, he didn't hear this skill in any of the novels he read. 4 skills with known effects and one with unknown effects related to production and some mystery. Alchemy is interesting in novels, but it also comes with risks and less combat power.
Damian looked at the ticking clock. 30 seconds are already gone. If he didn't choose one, the system will randomly assign him one of these. He bit his lips and looked at the 5 skills. Taking breaths he thought about their usefulness and ultimately decided to take the gamble with Astral Alchemy.
Don't the players and protagonists take the mysterious or unknown weak looking skills and end up with good ones. His intuition told him Astral Alchemy is very suitable for him. He hoped his decision isn't wrong one. As the timer reached 0. The announcement appeared.
