Chapter 2 - Chapter 1 - The Dream

That night, the stars shone brightly.

The spiritual city of Nuse, with its blue and red rune stones, pilgrimage-filled sacred towers, and melting like wax under the song of an invisible god, burned with such beauty that death believes he could paint it himself.

In the center of it all, Arthur O'Brain stood tall, singing hymns and wearing a holy sigil around his neck that gleamed like polished silver.

Arthur, the High Priest, walked toward the altar and said, "God has his eyes on us, filling us with hope and positivity." He rasped and whispered, "The world is filled with hope."

While singing hymns and sipping mugs of beverages, pilgrims, fellow believers, and other travelers dozed off in the peaceful night and under the lovely moonlight.

Then, as he slept soundly, Arthur experienced an uneasy dream—a gloomy one in which there was no sound and nothing to be seen in the vast territories of the Darrkness.

It was gloomy and lifeless.

Arthur thought the brief dream was just that—a dream—and was relieved that it wasn't real because he had no idea what would happen next.

He sat down with his friend Minga, a police officer, at a tavern to enjoy a chef's special dinner and a mug of beverage after a long day of performing his daily responsibilities, praying, and helping the city's residents solve their problems.

They discussed the state of their careers and personal lives. They discussed their dreams as well. Arthur then shared with him his first dull, lifeless dream, which they all laughed off as not being real.

Unaware of the indications.

Then the dream returned, but this time he saw a figure sitting on a throne, talking to someone while having lifeless eyes and a blurred face. He also heard a soft, quiet laugh.

Arthur was quietly observing the creature to gauge what was happening when the creature abruptly cocked his head in his direction and laughed softly, sending shivers down Arthur's spine. The being's name was then called, and they muttered "Hamsavida" as they did so. The name reverberated throughout the shadowy regions.

He again woke up thinking it was just a dream.

This time, however, he approached the name he heard with greater caution and care, and he started looking for the being's name because he believed it to be too dreamy to be true and too real to be a dream.

He began searching the name Hamsavida.
