Hinata glanced at the window. "Hey, Koharu. What do you think the skies of Neptune look like?" He asked out of nowhere.
Koharu tilted her head. "...Neptune? That's a random question… I think they would look kind of like Earth's? Since Neptune has an atmosphere and all-" She paused as she noticed Bmon staring at them blankly.
"W-What is it?" Hinata asked.
"...You two REALLY can't think of a better conversation, so you start wondering about the sky of a planet in space?" He sighed.
"W-Well I-" BZZRT, The world distorted and now, we go back in time for a brief period.
An unknown amount of time in the past…
Footsteps could be heard as three individuals slowly made their way toward uncharted territory.
"Ronald, are we really going in the right direction? You told us that there was an abandoned temple with treasures hidden inside around here…" Harold questioned.
"...I don't know that for sure, idiot… I only heard a rumor." He responded.
"Huh!? We came all the way here and it might not even exist?" Sophia pouted.
They glanced around at nature. Birds were making nests in trees, Several frogs hopped alongside them. It was a really marsh-like area…
"...Just don't make us step in the water, I don't want to imagine how bad that water tastes…" Harold sighed.
"Hey… Is that the place?" Sophia pointed at a really rundown looking temple.
"Yeah… That should be the place." Ronald pulled out a paper out of his bag and showed it to them. "Apparently, it was used to pray to some goddess. But I don't know many of the details…"
Once they had reached the temple, they carefully went inside. Most of the temple was destroyed, however they noticed stairs leading downwards.
"Oh boy… There might be treasure there, right?" Harold excitedly asked.
"...If by treasure you mean offerings, yes they might be down there… Let's go." They made their way down the stairs, stopping once they reached the bottom. In front of them was a statue, and a message written in Japanese on a stone in front of it.
"...What does that say, Ronald? I can't read Japanese…" Harold asked.
"It says… "This temple belongs to Goddess &@#$, any attempt to break in and take the offerings will result in immediate execution. Otherwise, if you're here as a civilian, you are allowed to give our goddess an offering." …This place only cares about offerings doesn't it?" Ronald laughed slightly.
"S-Shouldn't we be worried about that warning in the message…?" Sophia asked cautiously.
The two looked at each other for a brief moment. "...This temple is abandoned, so I don't think we have to worry about that…"
As they ventured further in, they stumbled upon a large door with a symbol on it. "...What do you think this is meant to be? Does this really belong in a temple…?" Ronald tried opening it, however it wouldn't budge.
"Whatever… What we are looking for, most likely won't be inside there anyway." Harold told him. They continued going further inside until they paused upon seeing a chest.
Harold inspected the chest without getting too close. "...That's… Definitely a trap."
Ronald glanced at him in confusion. "Why would there be a trap in an abandoned temple? Clearly this is the treasure we've been looking for!"
Harold sighed with irritation. "...Don't touch it, let's go further in and see if we can find anything else-" His eyes widened as he spotted Ronald reaching for the chest. "N-No, you idiot!"
As soon as he opened the chest, something fell down from above and crushed him.
"S-Shit. That's probably not good…" As the smoke cleared from the debris, they found out what it was that crushed him. It was what appeared to be a stone golem.
"...That's REALLY not good."
Sophia was still in the midst of processing what happened when she gasped. "Harold! Ronald was gonna get married in a week!"
"...A bit too late to mention that, ain't it-" Before he could finish, a laser shot out of the golems mouth, almost hitting him.
"O-Okay… I didn't know golems could do that, so my suggestion is to… RUN!" They quickly bolted toward the stairs as the golem started chasing them, firing lasers and destroying everything in its path.
"H-Hurry, Harold! If it destroys the stairs we won't be able to escape!" She shouted as he ran as fast as he could toward the stairs.
Finally, he ran up the stairs with Sophia, quickly exiting the temple. They sighed with exhaustion. "H-Holy crap, I never want to search for "Treasure" ever again…" As Harold finished talking, suddenly lasers flew out from the floor of the temple, causing the entrance to cave in.
"Well… Looks like no one is going in that place ever again, unless they can find the stairway again somehow…" He laughed slightly, glancing back at Sophia, who was still a little scared.
He thought for a while before speaking. "...Um, I know this isn't really the right time… But, would you want to marry me?"
Sophia snapped her head to face him, she blinked a couple times. "H-Huh!? Y-You're asking that now…?" She blushed slightly.
Harold let out a soft laugh. "Y-Yeah… I was gonna ask you after this expedition but… Things didn't exactly go to plan, right?"
She thought for a while before responding. "M-Maybe. But first, we should make a grave for Ronald… We couldn't bring his body due to it being crushed after all…"
"G-Good point…" They began to make a grave beside the ruined entrance of the temple.
"S-Say, what do you think that door was that we saw?" Sophia asked curiously.
"Hmm… It had the symbol of infinity engraved on it right? Maybe it was some kind of research facility, but I'm not sure."
A while later, Harold and Sophia got married. Putting the temple incident behind them– BZZRRT
Akuma stared at Bmon briefly. "Bmon, Bmon… Snap out of it!"
He glanced at Akuma. "What…? What do you mean snap out of it?"
He stared at him with a look of suspicion. "...You were staring at your desk for an hour man…"
"H-Has it really been that long? I feel like I was daydreaming, but I don't remember what I saw…"
Akuma sighed. "...Well, It's almost time for class again. So don't daydream anymore, dummy…" He nodded silently in response.
