Mirai Uchiha looked slightly surprised by Minato Namikaze, not expecting him to possess such insight.
Minato sheepishly scratched his head. "Back when I was aiming to become Hokage, I ended up thinking about a lot of things..."
Mirai waved his hand dismissively and didn't seem to care much.
Looking at Minato with a confident smile, he said, "Minato, do you really think my ambition is limited only to this ninja world?"
Minato hesitated for a moment, puzzled about how the words "limitation" and "ninja world" could even go together.
He asked, puzzled, "Mirai, what do you really mean?"
Mirai pointed upward toward the sky. "My goal lies among the stars and universe itself. Compared to the vast cosmos, our ninja world is just a drop in the ocean."
"Cultivating the universe will be my ultimate objective."
"Cultivating... the universe?!"
Minato and Kushina Uzumaki were both utterly stunned.
Within their limited understanding, they couldn't grasp Mirai's meaning at all.
The mighty ninja world being just a grain of sand in the cosmic ocean?
No matter how hard they tried imagining it, they couldn't see how the ninja world could possibly be so small.
Seeing their confused expressions, Mirai didn't bother explaining further.
Some things were difficult to popularize—it wasn't something he could clarify right away.
"All that belongs to the future—you'll understand gradually," Mirai waved it off, then continued, "As for the issues of internal unrest and external threats..."
"Deep among the stars lies a clan known as the Otsutsuki."
"In the near future, they will descend upon us with the sole purpose of destroying the ninja world."
"Once the ninja world is unified, the entire land will stand together against the invasion of the Otsutsuki Clan."
After hearing Mirai's explanation, Minato and Kushina remained dumbfounded.
Only after a long pause did they finally manage to speak with dry mouths: "Mirai… who exactly are the Otsutsuki Clan?"
Rather than answering directly, Mirai asked instead, "You must've heard the story of the Sage of Six Paths before, right?"
Hearing finally a somewhat familiar name, both Minato and Kushina immediately nodded.
"The mother of the Sage of Six Paths is the legendary ancestor of chakra—the goddess known as the Moon Goddess."
"And she…originally belonged to the Otsutsuki Clan herself—her original name was Kaguya Otsutsuki!"
Minato and Kushina exchanged glances, seeing nothing but deep shock reflected in each other's eyes.
The Sage of Six Paths was the son of the Moon Goddess?
And the Moon Goddess's real name was Kaguya Otsutsuki?
But then…who exactly were the Otsutsuki Clan?
Mirai Uchiha continued explaining, "Regarding the Otsutsuki Clan, I will inform everyone about these matters after unifying the Ninja World."
"For now, all you need to know is that everything I do has its own reasoning behind it."
"Our current focus must remain on the matter of unifying the Ninja World."
After listening to Mirai Uchiha's explanation, Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki both took a long, deep breath.
If everything Mirai said was true, then things were truly terrifying.
The Otsutsuki Clan, from which the Sage of Six Paths' mother hailed, must be an extremely powerful race. These people actually wanted to destroy the Ninja World...
Thinking this, Minato asked solemnly, "Mirai, how did you come to know all of this?"
Mirai pointed at his eyes and delivered the prepared excuse he had planned beforehand: "These eyes of mine can see everything clearly."
"And my name is—Mirai!"
Minato and Kushina silently nodded in agreement.
After experiencing so much together, they weren't surprised at all if Mirai Uchiha possessed the ability to foresee the future.
With this explanation, it also made sense how he alone could manipulate Hiruzen Sarutobi and Danzo Shimura as if they were mere puppets.
Thinking along those lines, Mirai indeed seemed to possess the power of foreknowledge.
Just like when Kushina gave birth to Naruto, it was only because Mirai had already spoken to Kurama that the mysterious ninja refrained from unleashing the Nine-Tails to retaliate against Konoha.
Minato said solemnly, "Mirai, I will unconditionally obey your orders from now on!"
Kushina Uzumaki expressed likewise, "Count me in too!"
Since Mirai had the ability to foresee the future, whatever commands he issued must relate directly to the future's direction.
Under such circumstances, even if orders arose that they found difficult to understand, they still needed to firmly obey.
Mirai Uchiha hadn't expected such a pleasant surprise either and nodded with a smile agreeing to their words.
They kept talking until after lunch before Mirai Uchiha bid farewell to Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki.
Kushina truly lacked any cooking talent, and her meals tasted nowhere near as good as Mikoto's.
With a toothpick dangling from the corner of his mouth, Mirai Uchiha strode casually down the street.
Suddenly, his eyes lit up.
A woman carrying a huge deadly weapon trudged out of a casino.
"Tsunade?"
At the sound of Mirai Uchiha's voice, Tsunade's body trembled slightly, then without looking back she immediately vanished using [Shifting Body Technique].
"Hmph!"
Mirai Uchiha snorted lightly too, and disappeared instantly into thin air using [Shifting Body Technique].
Soon enough, he cornered Tsunade within the dense forest atop the Hokage Rock.
Mirai Uchiha smiled cheerfully and spoke, "Tsunade, running off the moment you saw me is a bit impolite, don't you think?"
Tsunade replied with slight annoyance, "Brat, who taught you to call your seniors by their names like that?"
"You really shouldn't do that."
Mirai chuckled slightly. "Except for owing me some cash, you and I aren't particularly close, are we?"
"And besides... calling the village's "Hokage" a "kid"? You're the one lacking manners here, aren't you?"
Tsunade rolled her eyes, deciding not to argue further with Mirai, and let out a light scoff before asking, "Why exactly did you stop me?"
Mirai responded calmly, "Have you forgotten something important?"
"Forget what exactly?"
Seeing Tsunade's act of pretending not to understand, Mirai reminded her, "You borrowed thirty million ryo from me and promised to return it in one month."
"Now the time has passed. Where's my money?"
Tsunade stepped back in exaggerated surprise: "Money? What money?"
Mirai didn't lose his temper, speaking gently instead, "You borrowed it from me in the Hokage Office just a month ago. It's only been a month—how could you forget that already?"
Tsunade crossed her arms, huffed, and said, "If you claim I owe you money, then where's the promissory note?"
"I won't pay back a single penny without proof."
Mirai smiled again, but this time a dangerous glint appeared in his eyes. "So, you're planning on dodging the debt then?"
Tsunade wasn't intimidated at all. "I'm just trying to reason with you."
"Reason? Then you've come to the wrong person if you're looking for logic." Mirai smiled. "I hate dealing with people who insist on arguing logically."
