Chapter 91 - Chapter 91: The Power of One Blow Shocks the Military Headquarters! Strong Steel Body!

Nathan shot a sharp glance at the group of researchers in the lab.

They didn't even flinch.

They were completely oblivious to the glaring deviation in the data.

"No! If the parameters aren't corrected right now, this entire experiment will spiral out of control!"

"I'll never get the chance to extract Luke Cage's ability!"

Nathan's heart sank. There was no other choice — he had to act now.

Whoosh!

In a flash, his body crackled and dispersed into a streak of lightning, racing directly toward the control console beside Bronski.

Another bolt shot forward—aimed at Bronski himself.

Bronski's eyes narrowed in alarm. "An intruder?!"

Almost immediately, Bronski's body ballooned in size, his skin turning a sickly green. The man was gone, replaced by a crude, towering green monster—Abomination.

He swung a giant fist at the speeding bolt of electricity.

But he was too slow.

The electric current zipped past his punch and hit his body directly.

Abomination's monstrous eyes widened. "What is this?!"

All around the lab, researchers gasped in horror.

"What...what just happened?!"

"That current... it's moving on its own?!"

"It's like it's alive!"

Panic gripped the room. Everyone began to fear the worst.

"If Abomination releases his full power in here, the experiment will be ruined!"

General Ross, observing from outside the lab, slammed his fist against the console.

"What is happening in there?!" he growled.

"That electricity won't do anything to Abomination. He's on par with the Hulk! Electricity, bullets — they're useless!"

But just as Ross scoffed, Nathan made his move.

He unleashed the full reserve of precise bioelectric energy stored in his body.

It hit Abomination like a lightning storm.

BOOM!

A blinding light exploded from Abomination's body, illuminating every inch of the laboratory.

The current surged through every nerve, every cell of the monster's form.

Everyone shielded their eyes or screamed as their vision burned in the white flash.

Abomination stood, trembling. His eyes rolled back—white.

CRASH!

The behemoth collapsed into a corner.

Unconscious.

His body steamed from residual electricity.

Nathan reformed, stepping out from the glowing residue of his electric state, now masked in black.

As the light faded and the researchers blinked back their vision, they all stared in stunned silence.

The monster they all feared... had fallen.

And beside him stood the masked man who had done it.

"No way…"

"He defeated Abomination... in one move?!"

"Who IS he?!"

Even General Ross was shaken. His lips trembled.

"He took down my strongest weapon... just like that?"

The scientists looked at Nathan again.

"That level of electricity… his internal capacity must be monstrous!"

Nathan didn't pause.

He rushed forward, knocking aside a few scientists in his way, and reached the main console.

His fingers danced across the keyboard, creating shadows in their motion.

Beep-beep-beep—

"He's tampering with the parameters!" one scientist shouted in panic. "He's trying to ruin the experiment!"

Ross was seething. He shouted through the mic:

"You! Do you know what you're doing? This is a top-secret U.S. military project! If you destroy it—"

"—you'll be wanted by every authority: the military, S.H.I.E.L.D., the Sword Bureau! You'll become America's number one target!"

But Nathan ignored him.

He kept typing.

A few brave researchers charged toward him.

Nathan raised his hand.

Though his main energy was depleted, he still had a reserve of special bioelectricity.

Zap! Zap!

Arcs of blue electricity crackled and shot forward, like serpents slithering through the air.

Zap!

The researchers dropped like flies, convulsing as they hit the ground.

Ross clenched his pager. "Mobilize the troops! Get me every available man. He has electric-based powers. Bring the insulated shields!"

But the moment reinforcements started moving, the lead researcher outside the lab gasped.

"Wait!"

His eyes scanned the updated screen.

"The lactate energy levels— they've stabilized!"

"Oh god, if they had kept rising like before... Luke Cage would've died."

"He's... he's not sabotaging us."

"He's fixing our mistakes."

The room went silent.

The lead researcher stepped forward, stunned.

"He found the error. He saved the experiment."

"Do you know how hard that is?" he muttered, looking at the other officers. "With all that data? To isolate the variable, make real-time adjustments... and still maintain structural integrity?"

Ross's eyes were wide. "So, he's an expert?"

The researcher nodded, nearly in awe.

"His bioengineering knowledge is phenomenal. His mind processes data at an insane speed. He might be a genius."

Ross snapped into the pager again. "All units—stand by. Do not interfere until the masked man finishes."

Another officer suggested, "He might escape through the wires. Cut the power to the entire base, except for the lab."

Ross ordered, "Shut down all circuits—only the lab remains powered!"

Nathan heard their chatter. But he had no time to react. His brain throbbed from overuse.

"Idiots. If they had just monitored the system properly, I wouldn't need to risk exposure like this!"

His original plan was to wait until everything succeeded — then move, collect the energy, and slip away unnoticed.

Now he had to escape early — with Luke Cage.

The base flickered. Power shut down room by room.

Only the lab remained active.

Nathan finished typing.

Beep! All parameters back to safety range. Luke Cage's stats — stable, climbing.

The experiment succeeded.

But it wasn't over.

Boom!

The mobile unit stormed in.

Insulated shields, rifles, tranquilizers.

They all aimed at him.

But Nathan was ready.

His spider-sense tingled — and he leapt into motion.

Dodging bullets, he scooped a vial of green liquid from the bench.

Hurl—

BOOM!

The chemical exploded, launching the soldiers backward.

Ding!

The experiment was complete.

BOOM!

The container exploded from inside as Luke Cage broke free.

"Let's go," Cage growled.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Bullets pinged off Luke's skin like pebbles on a tank.

Tranquilizers? Useless.

Like a bulldozer, Luke Cage plowed through every soldier. Nathan followed, shielded behind him.

They smashed through the lab doors, throwing soldiers aside.

Ross was watching from above. His face darkened.

"Prepare the ultrasonic weapons!"

The duo reached the base plaza. Two military vehicles approached.

BZZZ!

High-frequency ultrasonic waves blasted toward them.

"Move!" Nathan shouted.

They dodged.

BOOM!

The attack ripped up the ground.

Nathan lifted a jeep and hurled it.

BOOM! The sonic weapon exploded.

Luke grabbed another vehicle and did the same.

The path cleared.

They made a break for the mountains.

Lasers rained from the towers!

Nathan zigzagged through them with ease.

Luke Cage gritted his teeth, blocking the beams with his arm.

Some hit. He groaned in pain but endured it.

Nathan glanced over — Luke's skin was burning, but intact.

"Good."

"That's the steel body I came for."

They picked up scattered debris and hurled it at the laser cannons.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Ross watched from the tower, furious.

"Why can't we stop them?!"

His deputy replied, "Sir, all weapons failed. We risk killing them if we escalate."

Ross stared at the fallen Abomination and clenched his fist.

"Wake him up. Now!"

Inside the lab, terrified workers crowded around the unconscious monster.

Twenty minutes later—

ROARRR!!

Abomination awoke with a deafening roar, shattering nearby eardrums.

He stood, rage boiling in his chest.

"Where is that damn electric freak?!"

Ross's voice thundered over the loudspeaker.

"Track them through the mountains. They're heading for New York. Capture them—alive."

BOOM!

Abomination smashed the wall and took off, leaping into the mountains like a demonic meteor, chasing the two escapees.

The hunt had begun.
