At the same time purple flames erupted and enveloped the area, and most of the inferno struck the exact spot where Akeno had landed.
It was clear that Walburga was targeting Akeno, and the reason was obvious. She wanted to kill her because she was close to Yusuke.
"Why are you protecting her?! We clearly love each other! Even though I only met you a moment ago, you must feel the same as me! We are destined for each other! We love each other, and no one can separate us! We will love each other and be together forever and ever!!" Walburga's cute face twisted into a heinous expression. She roared at Yusuke in a maniacal, shrill voice, proclaiming her twisted love, all while continuing her attack without pause.
A huge cross appeared behind her as the purple flames engulfed the entire area, burning the road, buildings, trees, and even the people nearby.
This bitch did not even bother to erect a barrier to keep anyone away!
"Damn it!" Yusuke quickly used his Telekinesis Lv2 to push the flames away from Akeno. However, to his absolute horror, the flames were far stronger than normal fire. They were hotter and more destructive than Riser's fire, and some of them managed to break through his control, reaching Akeno just as she was getting up from the ground.
"Kyaaaah!" As soon as the fire touched her, Akeno let out a loud, painful scream. Even though it was only a small fireball, it set her body ablaze, burning her clothes and skin. Her face twisted in absolute agony.

"Holy Fire... Yusuke..." Akeno struggled to keep her eyes open as she spoke. Since she was a Devil, the purple holy fire was extremely deadly to her, and in just a short time, she could already feel death drawing near.
"Holy fire?! Hold on, Akeno! I will heal you!" Yusuke's eyes widened in horror as green light shone from both his hands, enveloping Akeno and beginning to heal her. His heart pounded violently, blood rushing to his head, and his eyes trembled with panic and fear.

The fire seared his body like a raging blaze, destroying his clothes and reddening his skin. However, no significant damage befell him. As a Fire Dragon Slayer Magic user, he had an extraordinary resistance to fire magic and could even eat it.
Unfortunately, although he tried to shield her with his body, a few stray flames slipped past his arms and legs, burning Akeno even more. "Aghhhhhhh!!" To a Devil, the pain of being scorched by Holy Fire was immense.

If the price of this feeling was to die ten thousand times, she would not hesitate to pay it.
