"Where are you going?" Axton questioned, blocking the door with his body.
They had just settled in a few minutes ago and Ren was already on his feet again.
Ren sighed, rubbing his eyes, "I need to see my sister." He replied, holding Axton's gaze.
"Without me?" Axton asked.
Ren looked away, "Axton –"
"Just answer, Renault. If you don't want her knowing about us, can I at least go as a friend?" Axton murmured, his eyes softening.
"We're only here for a day, Renault. Tomorrow we follow the signal which has appeared closer than it's ever been. We won't... we won't really have time like we do..." he slowly strides toward Ren, lifting his hand to his arm.
"We're not sure of what's going to happen, Renault. We do not know what this signal holds within it. I –"
"Shh... quiet, Axton," Ren whispered, his fingers pressing Axton's lips, "No one's dying. We'll make sure of that. We're never losing each other. Okay?" He smiled softly.
