Chapter 23 - Massages and Mistakes

Luna went to the living room while Matteo finished his bath. When he was done, he dried himself with a towel, picked out one of his finest suits, and got dressed. Luna returned to the bedroom and saw that he was already ready. Realizing her makeup had faded, she quickly reapplied it.

Both of them looked really good.

"Are you ready?" Matteo asked.

"Yes, I am," Luna replied.

"Good," Matteo said as they went downstairs together.

Once they reached the living room, Matteo turned to her. "Which car do you think would be best for the occasion? I don't need a driver—I'll drive myself. I have different types of cars: a Range Rover, a Dodge, a Ferrari. Which one do you think would be good?"

Luna looked at the cars for a moment before pointing. "I've been looking at that one. Let's take it—it's really fast. I like that one."

"The Ferrari?" Matteo asked.

"Yes," Luna confirmed.

"Alright, then. We'll take the Ferrari," Matteo said.

Matteo immediately went back to the living room to take one of his Ferrari keys from the drawer. As he grabbed it, he held Luna's hand for a moment before leading her outside to the mansion's compound. He walked over to the car and opened the door for her. Luna stepped in, and he gently closed the door behind her before making his way to the driver's seat.

As he entered, he started the engine and drove toward the gate. The gatekeeper quickly opened it for him, and as soon as the path was clear, Matteo hit the gas, speeding down the road.

He was driving incredibly fast.

"Slow down!" Luna said.

"No, I'm not slowing down," Matteo replied.

"I said slow down!" Luna screamed.

Matteo chuckled. "So you're scared of a fast car?"

"No, I'm not scared! But anything can happen if you're not careful," Luna said.

"When you have good taste, you pick the best car," Matteo said with a smirk. "You chose this one because it's fast, huh? But don't worry, I'm a great driver. No need to be scared—nothing's going to happen."

Luna rolled her eyes. "Now, where should we go first?" Matteo asked.

"I told you, we should go to the spa first and get a massage," Luna replied. "It's been a long time, and we have the whole day ahead of us. It's still early in the morning."

Matteo glanced at her. "But you're wearing makeup. Are you planning to get a massage with all that on? They'll wipe everything off. Looks like you didn't think that through."

"Oh no, I completely forgot," Luna groaned. "And I put on so much makeup… If they massage my face, it'll all be gone."

"So, should

we skip the spa?" Matteo asked.

Luna shook her head. "No, let's still go. It doesn't matter."

As Matteo drove to the spa, he parked the car, stepped out, and walked around to open the door for Luna. After locking the car, they entered the spa and made a reservation for a facial and a full-body massage.

Matteo's eyes widened as he stepped inside—he spotted Mario. He didn't want Mario to see him, and what made things worse was that he hadn't brought a guard with him. Immediately, he took out his phone and texted some of his men, instructing them to come to the spa disguised as regular customers. He shared the location with them and quickly moved toward the massage room, hoping to stay out of Mario's sight.

But what he didn't know was that Mario had already seen him.

Meanwhile, Luna and Matteo were led to separate rooms to change. They wrapped themselves in towels, removed their makeup, and washed up. The massage therapists applied oil to their faces and began the facial massages. Matteo's therapist was a man, while Luna's was a woman.
