Author's Thoughts on Gemini
Gemini started as just a one-off story idea—what happens when something alien and unknowable quietly hijacks the routines of an isolated crew at the edge of the solar system? But as I wrote, I realized this little story had bigger implications. There were hints of secret protocols, strange connections, and the sense that the universe was much bigger and weirder than the crew could ever understand. The mystery began to build, and suddenly, I saw all these new story possibilities branching off.
That's when it hit me: I wanted to keep going and start writing stories in a shared universe. There are things happening behind the scenes that even the characters in Gemini can't see—the same corporations, shadowy experiments, and maybe even more alien influences tying everything together. Each story can stand on its own, but the more you read, the more the bigger picture comes into focus. I've got a lot of ideas scribbled down: conspiracies, cover-ups, more lonely outposts, and even some city stories on Earth and Mars.
Honestly, writing these short, interconnected stories fits me better than trying to force myself into a long, single novel. I love the freedom to jump from one cast or location to another, always adding a new piece to the puzzle. But who knows—maybe someday all these threads will pull together into something bigger. For now, I'm happy building the mystery, one story at a time, and seeing where it all leads.
