Then, in the next instant, another titanic explosion erupted, swallowing Asher whole as it slammed into him at point-blank range.
Debris and stones tore backward with violent force like bullets, scattering across the battlefield. Smoke and dust surged outward, rapidly covering the battlefield in a dense, choking haze. Within the hazing and swirling smoke and dust storm stood Asher. He hadn't bothered to move at all, his figure calm and unmoved amidst the chaos. Instead, he simply phased through the explosion entirely, his body intangible as the devastating blast passed harmlessly through him.
He had already anticipated this outcome, as he knew this was Number One's usual method of attack.
