Yan Capital, Shinwave HQ.
"Green Oasis Investment is here to see me?"Sō Akira frowned. The name rang no bells.
Oasis had only two or three mainland deals, so hardly anyone knew them. Still, visitors were visitors.
"Put them in a meeting room. I'll be right over."
"Understood."
Ten minutes later Sō signed the last document on his desk, checked his watch, and left for the conference room.
"CEO Sō, these are the gentlemen from Oasis."The secretary's address confirmed it—this middle-aged man was indeed Shinwave's chief.
Shō Unkai rose with a slight smile and offered his hand. "Good afternoon. CEO Sō, I'm Shō Unkai, owner of Oasis."
"Owner?"Sō blinked. He had assumed Ri Yō was the boss.
He hid his surprise and shook firmly. "A pleasure, President Shō."
Sō's warmth even increased because the visitor was so young; young owners usually meant powerful family backgrounds. Over the years he had seen plenty of rich heirs take equity for free—refusing them could end a company overnight.
What Sō did not know was that Shō hailed not from Dragon Kingdom's elite but from the Xinhan royal house.
After a brief round of pleasantries Shō got straight to the point. "I dislike circling topics. CEO Sō, I know you're pushing a new project. I'd like to invest—name your price."
Sō's heart skipped. How did he learn about that?
The "Thread" platform had not launched yet; only an internal beta existed, scheduled for September.
He forced calm. "You're frank, President Shō. Yes, there is such a project, but it is still pre-launch, so investment—"
"Ten million dollars for forty-five percent," Shō interrupted.
Sō froze. So bold, not even seeing the product? Did he not fear failure?
For Shō the stake was strategic. He valued the traffic more than the return; even if Thread flopped, the loss was only ten million.
"President Shō, aren't you worried the project might fail?" Sō asked.
"If someone else were leading it, maybe. With you in charge I believe it will succeed," Shō replied evenly.
Sō gave a helpless laugh, flattered by the faith—and by the size of the cheque. Ten million was no small sum.
"Very well. Your investment will be our honor."
"Good. Let's sign."Ri Yō produced two identical contracts; Shinwave's legal team scanned them, found no issues, and both sides signed.
"Pleasure doing business," Shō said, shaking hands.
Sō's mood soared. With this cash Thread could move twice as fast.
Both men felt they had gotten the better deal.
Less than an hour after arrival Shō's group left, and CEO Sō personally walked the "big spender" to the lift.
