~Dahlia's POV~
Every moment I spent watching them chat animatedly amongst themselves made my heart burn with anger.
Every time he'd lean close to her to tuck a strand of her hair behind her ear, feed her something or whisper something to her made me mad.
He acted like he could not notice the killing glares I sent in his direction or the discomfort I felt watching them so close, even when I knew that he could.
Desperate to get him out of here, I shifted uncomfortably in my seat and coughed loudly, and in that moment, he lifted his head to look at me.
Our eyes met.
Green eyes met blue eyes.
And in that moment, I forced myself to channel all the rage I could feel… all the disgust and the disappointment, and I made sure it would be as clear as day on my face as I glared straight at him. I saw him balk. Noticed the way his hand froze midair, but then he looked away when she pulled at the sleeve of his robe to catch his attention.
My anger skyrocketed.
