Nancy's breath came out in uneven, broken gasps as she struggled to keep herself upright against the jagged surface of the rock behind her. Her back pressed into the cold stone, its rough edges digging into her already battered skin, but she barely reacted to the pain anymore. Compared to everything she had endured, it felt almost insignificant. Still her lips trembled as she forced out her voice, weak and hoarse, barely carrying any strength. "Ughh… just… why are you doing this…?" she whispered, her throat dry and burning as if every word scraped against it. "Please… just let me go… what have I even done to you…? Why are you torturing me…?" Her eyes, heavy and bloodshot, slowly lifted to look at Riven in front.
