Selena's breath trembled.
"…I… I…" Her voice cracked, barely a whisper fighting against the weight crashing down inside her chest. Nancy's words didn't just hit her they detonated. Every sentence felt like an explosion inside her skull, shaking her so violently that even her legs seemed ready to give out. She wanted to deny it. She wanted to argue.
