Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Breaking through to the Acquired Realm

"This can't be a Dantian. This flow... it's much deeper and more vibrant than a Dantian. What's going on?" For the first time in his life, he was deeply shocked. He had always been a calm individual, maintaining his composure even in the worst situations. However, tonight's transformation was beyond shocking for him.

"Let's try this method!"

Chiantai Wuji sat back in his previous spot and immediately activated the cultivation technique he had used before, known as the "Art of Mountain and River Rotation." Among Chiantai Wuji's cultivation techniques, this was his favorite. Not only did it establish a solid foundation like a mountain, but it also allowed Qi energy to flow through the Dantian like a river. These qualities made Chiantai Wuji choose this cultivation technique.

"It's really working..." Chiantai Wuji expressed his joy. In recent years, he had faced a significant obstacle—a deep void that absorbed his Qi energy, preventing him from advancing to the next realm. Although he hadn't lost hope, he was somewhat concerned. Being a genius, stagnation was the worst outcome for him!

Now, this problem was resolved. His Qi energy flowed unimpeded through his meridians, heading toward the area below his navel. This refreshing sensation brought him immense happiness.

Chiantai Wuji gently touched the area below his navel. With a slight frown, he murmured, "Although the problem has suddenly been resolved, this feeling is entirely different from a Dantian. If it's not a Dantian, then what is it?"

Chiantai Wuji's mind searched for a solid answer among thousands of speculations. Despite his intelligence, he struggled to find an answer. This matter was beyond his knowledge.

After a short while, he shook his head and abandoned further contemplation. After all, what had happened was very strange. He had neither evidence nor a point of reference to connect with. In any case, he could gain a better understanding of "it" in the future.

"Cultivation is more important now. Regarding that thing, I currently lack the power to connect with it. But it's not like I won't have an opportunity in the future. When I penetrate the intrinsic realm, my perception will merge with spiritual energy. At that time, not only can I connect with it, but I can also explore it. For now, I'll call it the 'Mother Dantian.'"

He felt that the "Mother Dantian" gave a true sense of vitality, as if it were a living entity capable of creating life. This led him to choose this name.

Thinking that his old problem was gone, a small smile appeared on his lips. In a calm yet eager tone, he added, "It's time to penetrate the acquired realm."

It must be said that Chiantai Wuji was not only a genius but also highly ambitious. He didn't want to be limited to the Kingdom of Eternal Glory. The Kingdom of Eternal Glory was merely a small kingdom in the easternmost region of the Heavenly Dome Continent. His goal was the mainland of the Heavenly Dome Continent, where true experts were abundant.

Although this goal seemed very grand at the moment, Chiantai Wuji was more aware of his talent than anyone else. He believed that he would soon set foot in that land.

Chiantai Wuji forgot to eat dinner—or rather, he was so eager to progress that he didn't want to engage in any other activity. After calming his mind to the most tranquil state possible, he cultivated according to the instructions of the Art of Mountain and River Rotation.

Soon, a familiar flow extended through his meridians. Undoubtedly, this familiar flow was the movement of Qi energy in his meridians. His meridians and pores eagerly absorbed the Qi energy, pushing it toward the Mother Dantian.

The human body, or any other creature's body, had 12 meridians and 54 pores. However, under normal circumstances, a person could only open nine meridians. As for the pores, even fewer were opened. But at this moment, all of Chiantai Wuji's meridians and pores were open. This scene was enough to shock even the old experts in the mainland of the Heavenly Dome Continent.

The Meridian Opening Realm wasn't a true cultivation realm but held great importance. One could only cultivate after opening their meridians, as meridians absorbed Qi energy from the heavens and the earth. Hence, it was called the Meridian Opening Realm.

When someone opened nine meridians, they reached the required threshold and could attempt to penetrate the next realm. The other three meridians were very rare. Throughout the history of the Kingdom of Eternal Glory, perhaps those who opened ten meridians could be counted on one hand. This highlights the level Chiantai Wuji had achieved.

Time passed quickly, and Chiantai Wuji became more immersed in cultivation. Soon, he reached a state where he had no awareness of the outside world. This was a mysterious and rare unconscious state, allowing him to focus entirely on cultivation.

Green Sun City... Chen Family

"Trash! You can't even open a single meridian. Why should the patriarch give you the Burning Cloud Pill?"

"Right! You can't even compare to the young master. Just because you're the patriarch's son doesn't mean you should think highly of yourself."

"Young master? Even I could kill him with one move."

"Right! Right!"

In a remote corner of the Chen family's territory, a group of three surrounded a skinny boy. Their eyes were full of contempt and mockery, as if they were looking at a filthy and worthless being.

In the Chen family—or rather, in Green Sun City—who didn't know this skinny and weak boy? Chen Hao, the fourth young master of the Chen family!

Although he held a very high position and was considered the future heir of the Chen family as the direct son of the patriarch, he had no respect.

Chen Hao was the epitome of complete trash. Despite being fifteen years old, he hadn't opened even a single meridian. His performance was so poor that he became the laughingstock of Green Sun City. Many considered him a joke. Such a weak individual undoubtedly brought disgrace to the Chen family.

Except for his father and younger sister, no one else cared for him. Even his childhood sweetheart betrayed him. This event further lowered Chen Hao's status in the family. Thus, although he was the young master of the Chen family, no one valued him.

Chen Gu, the leader of this group, said with a contemptuous smile, "I'm taking this Burning Cloud Pill to the young master. It's better if you don't tell the patriarch; otherwise, you know the consequences." A glint of cruelty appeared in his eyes.

In contrast, Chen Hao was in a dazed state. He didn't respond and stared directly at the ground, as if he couldn't hear or see anything. For a moment, Chen Gu and the other two felt that Chen Hao had become a real fool. Although Chen Hao was complete trash, he had some intelligence. Every time they bullied him, he would obediently accept or comply with their demands.

This scene scared Chen Gu. Although Chen Hao was very unpopular and almost no one wanted him, he had the patriarch backing him. To him, the patriarch was a formidable being he could only bow to.

"Let's go!" Chen Gu signaled to the other two. Apparently, they also realized the gravity of the situation and quickly agreed.

But at that moment, Chen Hao raised his head. Looking at the three who were leaving, a murderous intent filled his being.

"Did I say you could leave?" His voice was filled with a chilling coldness.

"Huh! What did you say?" Chen Gu turned his head in surprise. Unconsciously, he took a step back because Chen Hao's eyes were completely different from before. For a moment, Chen Gu thought Chen Hao had been reborn.

"It seems you haven't been taught a lesson!" One of Chen Gu's companions attacked Chen Hao.

Although he thought Chen Hao had changed, it was only for a moment!

Chen Hao recognized this boy. His name was Chen Wei, and he was merely an outer disciple of the Chen family. Yet, he often bullied him.

With a scornful smile, Chen Hao stepped back and dodged his attack, then struck his stomach with a punch that made him cough up blood.

"You!"

Chen Wei collapsed to the ground.

He couldn't understand how he had been defeated by this trash.

Chen Gu was stunned by what he saw.

Though Chen Wei wasn't particularly gifted, he had already opened two meridians. Meanwhile, Chen Hao hadn't opened even one.

"Damn it! I'll kill you!"

Chen Mo roared with rage. Chen Wei was his brother, and although they were close in age, Chen Wei was more talented and the hope of their family.

If something happened to Chen Wei, their standing in the Chen family would fall.

"Hmph! Just another piece of trash."

Chen Hao paid no mind to Chen Mo.

With precise and calculated movements, he avoided all of Chen Mo's attacks.

Chen Gu stood dumbfounded, watching the battle unfold.

[What's going on with this trash?!]

"Ahhhhh!"

Just as Chen Gu was thinking to himself, a heartbreaking scream tore through the air.

He looked at Chen Mo in shock — his left arm was completely crushed.

Clearly, Chen Hao had just done this to him.

"Now it's your turn!"

Chen Hao's gaze locked onto Chen Gu.

This vile thug had wronged him even more than the other two combined.

Chen Hao had no intention of letting him live.

"Don't get too cocky! I'm not like those two pieces of trash!"

Chen Gu growled in a deep voice.

Chen Hao replied with a cold smile:

"Of course you're not. They're trash — and you're a dead man."

With that, he dashed toward Chen Gu, moving twice as fast as Chen Mo had.

"You asked for this!"

Chen Gu feared the clan patriarch, but things had gone too far.

He couldn't let Chen Hao live.

Perhaps he'd even earn the favor of the First Young Master by ending him.

Their fists clashed with a resounding boom!

Chen Gu staggered back three steps — Chen Hao only one.

"How is this possible?!"

Chen Gu was in shock. No — he was terrified.

Compared to Chen Wei and Chen Mo, he was far stronger.

After all, he had opened three meridians.

But even so, he had no advantage against Chen Hao.

"Your death has come!"

Chen Hao launched another punch, this time aiming for Chen Gu's chest.

Chen Gu couldn't defend himself.

Terrified, he screamed:

"If you hurt me, my big brother won't forgive you!"

But Chen Hao didn't stop.

His punch landed squarely on Chen Gu's chest.

Crack!

The sound of breaking bones echoed through the air.

Chen Gu's body hit the ground, his eyes wide open —

as if he never imagined such a thing could happen.

Chen Mo and Chen Wei fled in terror after witnessing the scene.

They cursed the heavens for not giving them a second pair of legs.

Chen Hao ignored the two and bent down to pick up a white pill with red specks — the Burning Cloud Pill.

The Burning Cloud Pill held scorching and potent energy that aided in meridian opening.

It was a rare treasure in Green Sun City.

The Chen clan patriarch had paid a hefty sum to acquire it.

"What low-quality trash. Whoever refined this had poor flame control. The energy is scattered and poorly concentrated."

Chen Hao muttered before returning to his residence.

"I never thought... I would reincarnate."

---

Meanwhile...

Qiantai Wuji slowly opened his eyes.

His aura had changed significantly — clearly, he had made a breakthrough in his cultivation.

"I've finally stepped into the Acquisition Realm."

His tone carried a trace of satisfaction.

He had waited a long time for this moment.

After opening the meridians, the next step was to purify the body and expel impurities.

This stage of cultivation was known as the Acquisition Realm.

"I'd better eat something before I sleep."

Qiantai Wuji felt a deep hunger.

He quickly roasted some meat, and after filling his belly, he drifted off to sleep.
