Chapter 10 - [10] Buy More Jars!

Takuya could see the fanaticism in Kitahara Yūki's eyes.

Not just in him—

But in both his sons, too.

As expected.

Compared to someone like Tsunade, who was already powerful, it was always the weak who became addicted to the desire for strength the fastest.

Takuya raised his hand—another batch of jars appeared.

"Please." He smiled as he took the money handed over.

To Takuya, the more obsessed a customer became, the better.

Kitahara Yūki couldn't help himself—he cracked open the jars one after another.

Items were revealed one by one.

This time, another Experience Orb appeared—this one filled with sword training memory. Kitahara used it immediately.

Even though the memory was of relentless training, he wore an expression of pure bliss.

He was even trembling with excitement.

That instant leap in strength was far too tempting for someone as ambitious as him.

"Sir, I'd like to continue!" he said, his eyes burning with fervor and reverence.

Takuya said nothing. He just smiled and gestured calmly.

More jars!

A full twenty sets of tier-one jars—opened in under an hour.

Total cost in this world's currency: 10 million ryo. Converted, that was 600,000 Trade Points.

Almost as much as Tsunade.

Yet the Kitahara family's fortune had only barely been touched.

"Congratulations, customer. You're now eligible for tier-two jars."

Takuya repeated this line for the second time—calm and steady.

"Tier-two jars?" Kitahara Yūki looked at him with growing anticipation.

"That's right." Takuya gestured to the items before them. "Only those who've purchased a certain number of tier-one jars qualify for higher tiers. I'm sure you've noticed—while tier-one jars contain amazing items, most aren't that valuable."

Not that valuable?

Kitahara Yūki's breathing quickened slightly.

It was true.

While the items were incredible, their actual power boost was limited.

"Tier-two jars cost 500,000 each." Takuya waved his hand, and ten larger jars appeared.

Jars at this price point—

One set alone brought in 300,000 Trade Points.

Now this was how to bleed the Kitahara family dry.

"Five hundred thousand…" Kitahara hesitated for a moment. That amount wasn't insignificant, even for him.

But staring at the wonders before him—

He burned with desire.

"Buy them!" He shoved 5 million ryo to Takuya. "Give me one set."

"Trust me," Takuya said with a cheerful grin as he collected the cash. "You won't regret it."

And he wouldn't.

Just the third jar—

Contained another Experience Orb.

This time, for body training.

But the effect—was ten times stronger than before!

The moment Kitahara used it, his body flushed with heat. His once frail, aging frame swelled with muscle—suddenly strong and firm.

"This… this is a miracle!"

He stared at himself, marveling at the strength, perfectly natural as if built through years of training.

His heart raced.

With these jars, he could surpass even ninja!

"Ten times the price, ten times the value," Takuya said with a chuckle, his voice tinged with subtle temptation. "If you open a medical-series jar, you might even find an Elixir of Life—and regain your youth."

"Hah—" Kitahara gasped.

But he didn't doubt it.

What he had witnessed already proved the jars' magic.

Goosebumps covered his arms from sheer excitement.

"Sir," he suddenly looked up, eyes gleaming, "is there… a higher-level jar?"

Takuya smiled slowly and gave a slight nod.

"Of course."

Kitahara Yūki's eyes turned bloodshot.

Intense greed surged in them.

Panting, he hesitated for a moment.

Then suddenly—

Shoved all of his money to Takuya.

"Father!" his eldest son panicked. "That's everything our family has!"

"Fool!" Kitahara Yūki roared, kicking him. Veins bulged on his neck. "With power—if I can regain my youth—who cares if we lose it all?! We'll rebuild it all, tenfold!"

Takuya's mention of regaining youth had hit him like lightning.

He had been planning to leave something behind for his sons.

But now—

His ambition, once stifled by his aging body and limited aptitude, was exploding thanks to the miracles these jars had shown.

"These assets total 200 million ryo," Takuya said evenly. "That can purchase forty sets of tier-two jars. What series would the customer like?"

"Only tier-two?" Kitahara Yūki blinked.

This was the culmination of years of wealth.

Even included the gold tucked in his sleeves.

"After purchasing fifty sets, you'll be eligible for tier-three jars," Takuya replied with a slight smile. "That's the rule."

The moment those last four words left his mouth—

A cold, bone-chilling sensation swept over the room.

They would die.

If they broke the rules, they would definitely die.

The fear lasted only moments—but Kitahara Yūki's entire back was soaked in sweat.

The way he looked at Takuya—was full of awe.

If these jars were only his products—what sort of existence was this man?

Takuya was quite pleased with that gaze.

Fear-based pressure was still working well.

He was now getting better at using one-time items to show off at just the right moments.

After Kitahara confirmed the jar series—

Takuya waved his hand.

Four hundred jars appeared, densely packed before them.

"Then, the deal is done." Takuya gave a graceful bow. He knew full well this man was now penniless. Then, per custom, he handed over a badge. "You're now a member of the All-Knowing and All-Powerful Trade Guild. If you wish to purchase more jars, simply contact me with the badge."

"Thank you, sir."

Kitahara Yūki carefully accepted the ornate badge.

"Then I'll take my leave." Takuya bowed once more—

Boom. With a soft sound, his figure shattered like the mirrored space around him and disappeared.

The three of them were left stunned.

But staring at the hundreds of jars before them—

Their eyes gleamed with obsession.

What Kitahara Yūki didn't know was—

The price he paid could've bought him a powerful ability.

But after Takuya skimmed 80% of the value, and loaded the jars with mostly junk—

What remained would barely raise his strength to average chunin level.

And when he finally realized—

That he gave up all his wealth and still wasn't that powerful…

Would he regret it?

No.

He would just—

Buy more jars!
